In Fachington, Skylar and Joe spent the entire afternoon having fun. They returned to their hotel only after dinner, as night had fallen.

After a day of walking, her feet were sore. 

“Want to take a shower?” Joe asked as he noticed Skylar was still engrossed in her phone. 

After finishing her photos and chatting with Charles, Skylar looked up at Joe and said, “You go ahead. I’ll talk to Charles for a bit longer.”

A few minutes later, the sound of the shower running came from the bathroom. Skylar glanced toward the door and saw Joe’s shadow through the frosted glass

He had noticed that many female celebrities were particular about their bags, and he thought they looked great. Since he had been meaning to buy one for Skylar, he wanted to make sure she got it now that he had the means. 

Skylar couldn’t help but smile, feeling warm inside. “Charles, I’m making my own money now. If I like a bag, I can buy it myself. Save your money for when you find a wife.” 

Charles replied, “I’m focused on my career right now and not thinking about marriage. Be prepared. I may never get married.” 

Charles wasn’t joking. He was serious about his commitment to his career over his personal life.
