My Husband Said His Student Was More Important Than His Pregnant Wife Until I Asked for Divorce novel Chapter 112

Chapter 10

The moment those words landed, the room erupted.

“My God, that’s horrifying. How did Celeste end up like this?”

“Well, honestly, she brought it on herself. Running around behind everyone’s backs, getting involved with so

many men…”

“And haven’t you heard? Those photos and videos have been circulating online for ages.”

The murmurs washed over her.

Celeste stiffened. Then, as if something had finally snapped into place, she jerked her head up and stared straight at me, her eyes blazing.

“Arden-why?” she screamed.

“Why did the woman in those videos turn into me?”

“I checked everything,” she sobbed, on the verge of collapse.

“But every time I tried to post them… they became me instead.”

I let out a quiet, humorless laugh.

“I warned you,” I said calmly.

“False accusations come with consequences.”

The realization finally dawned on her face.

She accused me of being pregnant out of wedlock-so she became pregnant herself.

She accused me of sleeping with multiple men-and those very men appeared in her bed, swearing she had invited them.

She fabricated videos to destroy me-and every one of them rebounded onto her.

“You… what did you do…”

Celeste stared at me in terror, still trying to speak.

She didn’t get the chance.

The Ashcroft security team moved in, grabbing her arms and dragging her toward the exit as she began to scream hysterically.

“No-please!”

“Arden, I was wrong!” she wailed. “Let me go!”

“I admit it-I made everything up! The rumors, the photos, all of it-it was me!”

“I know I was wrong. Please, just give me one chance!”

Her voice echoed down the hall, growing fainter with every step, until it finally disappeared.

I smiled faintly and lifted my glass, finishing my introduction to the guests as if nothing had happened.

The banquet concluded without further incident.

By the end of the night, everyone knew that the Ashcrofts’ biological daughter-Arden Ashcroft-was composed, intelligent, and dignified.

And that the former heiress was nothing more than a woman consumed by her own lies.

From now on, those rumors would follow her for the rest of her life.

I stepped forward and pushed open the doors of the villa.

Warm lights spilled out to meet me. Dad and Mom stood there, smiling.

“Happy birthday to you…”

“Happy birthday to you…”

“Happy birthday, dear Arden.”

Julian walked toward me holding a cake, quietly singing along.

I laughed softly.

Happy birthday.

Arden Ashcroft, this time, you were stepping into a new life.
