Transmigrated to Raise Panther Cubs
Chapter 192 Capable Enough
Zachary immediately ducked behind Matthew.
The door opened, and Kyle’s handsome face appeared. “Matthew?”
Zachary peeked out carefully. When he saw that nothing looked unusual, he finally relaxed.
Kyle smiled. “Zachary came too?”
Matthew passed the leaf–wrapped bundle over. “He made these just now.”
Fmished
“You two saved my life.” Kyle had been one step away from getting banished from the bed and was still figuring out how to coax Elias when Zachary arrived with food.
He was too happy to notice his loose clothes shifting. A mess of scratches and bite marks showed at once, far too obvious to ignore.
Zachary instantly looked elsewhere and tugged Matthew’s sleeve. “Uh… we should get going.”
Kyle thanked him from the bottom of his heart. “Thanks, Zachary. You’re seriously my hero.”
“Go on, go on,” Zachary said with a smile, then dragged Matthew away like they were fleeing the scene.
When it was time to make dinner, Zachary lingered in the storage shed for ages. In the end, he took some raisins, dried cranberries, dried oysters, and a wild chicken. He had decided to make Matthew a proper stew.
Jaden sat cross–legged beside the fire, munching on turnips while helping his father with small tasks.
Zachary brewed Matthew a bowl of raisin and dried cranberry tea, then sent him back inside to rest.
Matthew found the whole thing odd, though he could not yet figure out what was wrong.
Zachary cut the chicken into pieces, then boiled it briefly with ginger and wild onion to remove the gamey smell before rinsing it clean.
After that, he placed the chicken into the pot with raisins, dried cranberries, and dried oyster meat, letting everything simmer slowly over a low flame. Just before serving, he added a little salt.
The finished stew was clear, sweet, and savory, with a rich warmth that made every mouthful feel nourishing.
At dinner, Matthew looked down at the container placed in front of him–yes, a whole basin, not a bowl- then looked back at Zachary in confusion.
“You’ve been tired lately. Drink more and build yourself back up,” Zachary said with a smile. “Have as much as you can.”
“You two don’t like oysters?
Zachary answered, “Those are for you. Jaden and I will eat the chicken.”

Chapter 192 Capable Enough
Matthew was now certain something was not right.
I have to help Matthew rest properly so his body can recover.
After washing up, Zachary had originally planned to sleep with Jaden. But knowing Matthew would never agree, he compromised and brought the boy to sleep with them instead.
Jaden hugged his little pillow, smiling softly as he followed while holding his father’s hand.
Matthew stared at his cub, refusing to compromise on one point–Zachary had to sleep in the middle.
Jaden curled against his father’s arms, making for a very heartwarming scene.
Matthew pressed close behind Zachary, wrapping an arm around his waist and nuzzling at his neck and
ears.
Zachary knew Matthew would behave with Jaden there, so he simply let him do as he pleased.
For the next few days, Zachary kept changing the stew recipes and feeding them to Matthew. He was so diligent about it that Matthew almost started wondering if he had some terrible illness and even went to see Bruce.
The result was that Matthew had more energy than he knew what to do with, while Zachary kept slipping away from him at every chance.
Finally, one evening, Matthew reached his limit. He found an excuse to send Jaden to Yael’s place, closed the cave door, and stopped holding back his instincts.
Zachary was stunned when Matthew pinned him down. By the time he gathered his thoughts, Matthew had already started stripping away the layers between them.
“No…” Zachary struggled at once. “You haven’t recovered yet!”
“I’m completely fine,” Matthew said, his voice low and impatient, like a predator who had been starved for too long.
“Don’t force yourself! You have to take this slowly,” Zachary protested, wriggling helplessly beneath him. “If you overdo it now, it’ll be hard to fix later!”
“Take it slowly?” Matthew froze for a moment.
Then he finally understood what Zachary had been thinking these past few days. All those strange soups and worried looks suddenly made perfect sense. He was so exasperated he almost laughed. “You think I’m weak?”
“Don’t be upset. It’s normal,” Zachary said earnestly, still trying to comfort him. “You’re young. You can recover. 1–mmph…”
Matthew did not let him finish. Since Zachary had misunderstood him so badly, he decided actions would explain better than words.

Chapter 192 Capable Enough
The next evening, Zachary woke to the sight of the stone ceiling above him, his face blank with total resignation. After a long, painful review of the facts, he reached only one conclusion–Matthew was not weak. Not even close.
No, the problem was that he was far too capable!
Then what had been with that medicine scent on his breath that day?
The question circled back and made Zachary frown again. He pushed himself out of bed on unsteady legs, got dressed, and slowly made his way outside.
As usual, there was no one in the cave.
Jaden was staying with Yael, but Matthew was missing too. Where had he gone this time?/
After thinking for a moment, Zachary decided to visit Bruce.
Only when he stepped out did he notice the fine rain falling outside. He turned back, found a waterproof beast–hide, and draped it over his shoulders.
The sky hung low and gray. Wind slapped against his face, and the rain carried a chill that seeped into his skin. Zachary pulled his clothes tighter around himself and continued forward.
Bruce’s cave was not exactly nearby. By the time Zachary reached it, the fingers gripping the beast–hide had turned stiff and red from the cold.
A thick wave of medicinal bitterness rushed into his nose, and he wrinkled it at once. Bruce was definitely brewing another strange medicine.
Zachary walked lightly. The wind and rain covered the sound of his footsteps, while the heavy herbal smell swallowed up his scent.
Inside the cave, Bruce and Matthew clearly had no idea he was there. Through the door left slightly ajar, their voices drifted out with the rain.
