Transmigrated to Raise Panther Cubs
Chapter 231 Managing Livestock
It just so happened that Alfred and Bruce were around, so Zachary shared his idea with them.

Alfred and Bruce felt it would be difficult. Even herbivores could be very aggressive, let alone staying obediently in one place.
But Zachary wanted to give it a try, and they all supported him.
There was plenty of prey now. As long as no one got hurt, it wouldn’t matter even if the animals ran away.
Zachary decided to start with the simplest ones–rabbits, chickens, and ducks. These animals were small, easy to catch, and since they usually bred during springtime, there were plenty of them.
When they returned home, Matthew noticed three long, narrow objects placed by the cave window. He walked closer, stared at them for a while, then asked Zachary, “What is this?”
Zachary asked expectantly, “What do you think they look like?”
Matthew seemed to be thinking.
After a while, he fell silent.
Zachary wasn’t ready to give up. “Can’t you tell?”
Matthew gave the only answer he was sure of. “Mud?”
‘Look at them carefully,” Zachary said. “Two big ones and one small one, just standing there—what do they look like?”
Jaden had just seen them as well and began thinking together with his Alpha.
Matthew hesitated before saying, “People?”
Zachary was speechless. What was so difficult about it?
Jaden lifted his head, suddenly realizing. “Are they the three of us?”
Zachary nodded immediately, bent down to pat the child’s head, his eyes curving into a smile. “You’re really smart, Jaden. You figured it out at a glance.”
Matthew looked at his mate and the child, then turned to look at the three mud figures. Aside from the height, it was hard to find any resemblance in their faces. The eyes and noses were just three blobs of mud barely forming any shape.
No, even the height wasn’t right.
The mud figure of Zachary was almost as tall as Matthew’s.
In this world, spring was called the warm season. As the weather grew warmer, everything came back to

life, Animals that had lain dormant through the entire cold season emerged again, driven by instinct to begin nurturing a new generation.
The forest, once covered in snow, had now completely transformed into a vast sea of green, occasionally dotted with trees whose blossoms fluttered in the wind like waves.
Today, Zachary was heading out with the tribe’s sub–therians to gather supplies. In a couple of days, they would begin firing pottery, so there wouldn’t be much time left.
The last hunt had been carried out by Matthew and the others, so they were currently resting. But out of sheer boredom–and with their mates not at home–Matthew, Yael, and Kyle insisted on tagging along.
When Daniel and Ethan saw their brothers leaving, they couldn’t sit still either, so they eagerly followed along to help as extra labor.
The mountains and fields were full of life. Mushrooms and wild vegetables could be found everywhere, but compared to wild vegetables, everyone seemed to prefer mushrooms.
Or perhaps it was because picking mushrooms was more fun. Each one picked brought a sense of satisfaction. They could be roasted, fried, or boiled. Either way, it tasted great.
They could also be dried and stored, making them a staple ration for the tribe.
As they walked, everyone eventually set down their baskets and squatted to gather.
Quincy had a gentle personality.
While picking mushrooms and wild vegetables, Yael hovered around him, helping while asking all sorts of strange questions–like whether a mushroom looked like it had eyes, or like a big nose, or whether its shape resembled a brain. It was pretty amusing.
Elias, standing nearby, was speechless listening to it all. But he didn’t have time to care, because there was an even more annoying person beside him.
Kyle kept getting too close, practically sticking to Elias‘ ear when he spoke. The breath against his neck made it itch, seriously affecting his efficiency.
In comparison, Matthew and Zachary were much more focused. The two of them squatted close together, heads nearly touching, working quickly and smoothly.
Ethan and Daniel were like drifters, going wherever they were needed. Each of them even had a small basket hooked onto their strong arms, which looked rather comical.
This time, they were gathering in the northwest of the tribe’s territory. Zachary hadn’t paid much attention to this area before. As they walked, he looked up and caught sight of a faint patch of long, slender green vegetation in the distance.
Because it was far away, it appeared as a vague outline. Curious, he asked Matthew to take him over to have a look.
The ones responsible for patrol were Henry and the others. Matthew and his group were at most family members tagging along, so they could follow their mates‘ arrangements at any time.

Zachary told Quincy and Elias to continue digging. If he found anything new, he would come back for
them.
Matthew transformed to a black panther and carried Zachary forward at a run. Before long, the blurry outline became clearer, and a lush bamboo forest came into view.
The bamboo here grew tall and straight, and there was a great abundance of it.
Zachary was surprised. How had he never noticed this place before? But what excited him even more were the clusters of sharp tips emerging from the ground.
They were spring bamboo shoots!
After jumping down from Matthew’s back, Zachary crouched on the ground and started snapping them off with his hands.
There seemed to be more than one type of bamboo in this forest. Some shoots were long and slender, easy to snap off by hand, while others had only a small tip exposed, with a large portion buried underneath, requiring tools to dig them out.
