Transmigrated to Roise Panther Cubs
Chapter 247 Back to the Tribe

The black panther blinked, its ears twitching. Its tail curled around Zachary’s leg, and its warm, wet tongue immediately went to work, enthusiastically licking his face.
Zachary held back a yelp, but the moment the panther noticed his fair skin turning pink, it abruptly stopped.
The black panther let out a soft rumble.
Cupping his face, Zachary asked, “Why’d you stop?”
The black panther brushed its cool nose against his, rumbling softly.
Zachary grabbed its muzzle and planted a hard kiss on it. “If you’re not gonna lick me, then let’s sleep.”
The panther rolled slightly onto its side and offered up its belly for Zachary to lean against. Then it tucked its head back against Zachary’s stomach, still holding the corner of his shirt between its teeth.
Taylor and Jaden lay on a beast–hide mat, their round little heads poking out from beneath the blanket. Resting their chins in their hands, they watched Zachary and Matthew in the darkness.
“Grown–ups still need cuddles. How are they clingier than cubs?” Taylor asked. Then he suddenly covered his eyes with one hand before spreading his fingers apart. “Kissing. So embarrassing.”
Jaden rested his head on his arm. “Sire says that’s called love. Sire loves Alpha, and Alpha loves Sire. That’s why they kiss and hug.”
“Oh.” Taylor blinked, then broke into a goofy grin. “I love Sire too, so I’d kiss him. As for Alpha… I love him sometimes. Jaden, I love you too. I love Zachary. I love Matthew. I love Elias too. I love lots and lots of therians.”
“Go to sleep.” Jaden rolled over and patted him. “You’ll be sleepy while we’re traveling.”
Taylor happily wrapped his arms around Jaden and whispered, “I love all of you.”
The moon quietly climbed higher into the southeastern sky, silver light spilling across the river.

Matthew gently nudged Zachary with a paw and gave a soft rumble.
“Time to go already?” Barely able to keep his eyes open, Zachary sat up with a yawn.
Matthew gave a low, drawn–out rumble.
Jaden immediately stepped in as translator. “Sire, Alpha says you can sleep on the way back.”
Laughing, Zachary asked, “What if I fall off?”
“Alpha says he’ll walk very carefully.”
When they said goodbye to the vulture tribe, Little Baldy reluctantly grabbed Taylor and Jaden’s hands. “Give it a little while, and I’ll come find you guys.”

Jaden dug through his bag, pulled out the last two lollipops, and handed them over.
Taylor waved enthusiastically. “Little Baldy, we’ll be waiting for you!”

The journey wasn’t far. Even with piles of supplies loaded onto their backs, the black panthers moved at a steady, careful pace.
Every few minutes, Kyle would turn his head and let out a soft rumble, asking whether Elias was being jostled around, whether he was tired, or whether anything hurt.
Elias had heard it so many times his ears were practically numb.
Reaching out, he patted the panther’s head. “I’ll tell you if something’s wrong.”
The moment Kyle felt Elias leaning against him, he quickly warned, “Don’t lie on your stomach. You’ll put pressure on your belly.”
Elias immediately straightened up. “Yeah, yeah. I know.”
Taylor and Zachary were already nodding off, barely able to keep their eyes open. Yael and Matthew walked slowly, swaying like they were on a rocking ride. It was even more hypnotic than a lullaby.
Jaden held onto Zachary’s arm tightly with both hands. “Sire, just sleep. I won’t let you fall.”
Zachary couldn’t even bring himself to argue. He simply pulled a fruit out of his bag and started munching on it with loud crunches.
The morning mist slowly took shape, and the red sun rose again from behind the eastern mountains.
When they passed the tribe’s newly cleared farmland, Zachary hopped down and walked along the edges for a look. The seedlings were vibrant green and growing well, though weeds were already creeping in. They would need to set aside time to clear them.
After hauling supplies back to the center of the tribe for half the day, the black panthers headed off to rest.
The grass in the rabbit pen had already been stripped bare. The rabbits could eat, and certainly poop. Round little droppings were scattered everywhere.
Matthew stepped in, tools in hand, and lifted his long leg over the fence. The rabbits immediately retreated into their sleeping shelters.
Zachary planned to keep the droppings as fertilizer. Matthew patiently swept them into a pile, while Zachary and Jaden were not idle either. They went nearby to cut fresh grass and stood by feeding the rabbits.
After finishing everything, the three of them headed straight up the mountain to the hot spring. Matthew tossed Jaden into a far corner, then carried Zachary over to a hidden spot behind some rocks. It was secluded and perfect for some private time.

Only then did they finally let themselves relax completely.

Jaden felt like his skin was going to wrinkle from soaking too long in the water before Zachary and Matthew finally came to call him back.
Back at the cave, Zachary collapsed and fell asleep instantly, skipping dinner entirely. When he woke again, it was already the middle of the night.
There was no clock in this world. He sat up in confusion, and judging from Matthew’s steady breathing, it had to be deep into the night,
Zachary was hungry. He carefully lifted Matthew’s arm off him and quietly got out of bed. The cave was pitch black, and he couldn’t see a thing. He had to feel his way down slowly.
Before his feet even touched the ground, someone grabbed his ankle. A low, pained sound broke the silence.
Zachary froze. “What’s wrong?”
Matthew’s voice sounded off. “Lift your foot.”
Zachary was shocked. Only then did he realize he had probably stepped on something. He quickly pulled his leg back and fumbled around in concern. “Is it serious?”
Matthew took a slow breath. “I’m fine.”
Zachary, feeling guilty, gently massaged it for him. After feeling that it still moved normally, he finally
relaxed a little.
Good, it’s fine. Feels normal. I can feel the energy coming back.
