My Runaway Groom Came Back I Became His Aunt! novel Chapter 64

Chapter 2

“Shawnie, you’re so good to me,” Elizabeth cooed, flashing a triumphant smirk at me before clutching Shawn’s arm.

“I’m the one who messed up, and you’re still cleaning up my mess. Maybe I should come with you. Who knows what

this… sister of mine might do?”

“Raised in the wilderness, she’s bound to be feral. Better to have an extra pair of eyes, don’t you think?”

“You little troublemaker. Shawn chuckled, tapping her nose affectionately.

Feral?

I stared at her, genuinely taken aback. I wondered if the Colleone ancestors could spin fast enough in their graves to

power all of Sicily if they heard their precious princess described that way.

Hiding a smile, I made my eyes wide and fearful. “Shawnie, I won’t run. I’ll be good. I’ll go wherever you tell me.”

“Shut your mouth! ‘Shawnie’ is not for you to say!” Elizabeth snapped immediately, her sweet facade vanishing.

“Enough. Get in the car,” Shawn ordered, his expression softening slightly as he glanced at her.

I met Elizabeth’s gaze, amused by the flash of pure venom I saw there. Was that all it took to rattle her?

I was shoved into the backseat. The car pulled away.

‘You’re dead, you bitch,” Elizabeth hissed, leaning in so only I could hear, her eyes glittering.

“The Colleones will tear you apart. Let’s see you try to take Shawn or the Patrizi inheritance from me after that. It all

belongs to me. Just wait until we get there. Your end is coming.”

Ah, the Colleone estate. A scoff nearly escaped me. That was the playground where I’d thrown my most epic tantrums

and gotten away with literal murder.

And Alexandro… if memory served, he was the one who’d helped me steal that antique cigar box from the Godfather’s study. We’d spent the next day standing in the corner as punishment.

I couldn’t wait to see the look on that notoriously overprotective brother’s face when he saw me trussed up like a holiday turkey on his doorstep. Would he break their legs first, or start dismantling their bones?

Ten minutes into the drive, and we weren’t even halfway there. I shifted. the ropes chafing my wrists. A flicker of regret surfaced, I hadn’t realized the Patrizis were this poor, living so far from our family’s lands.

“What are you doing, you wretch? Elizabeth barked, instantly alert.

“A country bumpkin like you, thick-skinned and crude, and you’re pretending to be delicate after a few minutes tied up? You’re just looking for a chance to escape.”

‘Escape? Like this? You try running bound up like a salami and show me how,” I retorted, baffled.

Chapter 2

“Shawnie, look! She’s being vicious to me! Her meek act was all a show!” Elizabeth whined, glaring daggers at me.

Naturally, Shawn bought it instantly.
