My Second Marriage with the Mafia Kingpin novel Chapter 115

Chapter 115: Just One More

The next day...

Primo was having breakfast near the garden, with Betty and Nolan standing beside his table. He stared at his untouched plate before lifting his gaze toward the wing where Ashley’s room was.

From what he heard, his father had shut off their floor so no one could enter.

Bitterness flickered across his face as he clenched his hands on his lap.

Did he hurt her again? the little boy wondered, the thought only making him angrier.

Betty and Nolan exchanged glances before turning their attention back to the young master.

"He looks upset," Betty murmured softly, just enough for Nolan to hear. "I wonder what’s going on in his head?"

Nolan let out a shallow breath and stepped closer to the table.

"Young Master, is there something you need?" he asked patiently. "Or did you not like your breakfast?"

Primo snapped his head toward them, making both Betty and Nolan flinch slightly. His expression was grim, clearly displeased.

He dragged his drawing pad toward him and wrote in bold, capital letters.

[IS SHE HURT?]

"Huh?" Nolan and Betty frowned, confused.

Primo wrote again, more aggressively this time.

[Is that why he’s hiding her?]

The two adults fell silent, staring at the visibly fuming child. Even Primo’s chest rose and fell heavily, showing just how worked up he was.

"Haha..." Betty chuckled awkwardly as she slid into the empty chair beside him. "Young Master, I think you’ve misunderstood. The Master would never hurt the madam."

"Yes, Young Master," Nolan added, taking the seat across from her. "The Master treasures the madam too much to ever hurt her."

[Then why did he stop anyone from going to their floor?]

Betty and Nolan exchanged another glance. Betty looked unsure of what to say, while Nolan carefully considered his response.

"It’s just that... the madam was very tired last night," he said. Betty nodded vigorously beside him. "The Master simply wants to make sure she gets enough rest."

Primo narrowed his eyes at them, prompting Betty to blurt out,

"Why don’t you ask the Master when he comes out?"

The moment the words left her mouth, Betty froze.

Nolan’s eyes widened as he slowly turned toward her, while Primo furrowed his brows, clearly thinking about it.

"I mean—Young Master, don’t—what I meant is—"

[Good idea.]

Betty’s breath hitched, her eyes widening at the words on Primo’s pad. Nolan held his breath as he noticed the determination in the boy’s expression.

Slowly, Nolan turned to Betty, his eyes silently asking:

What have you done?

This was basically encouraging Primo to confront his father again.

Oh, my goodness... Betty groaned inwardly, looking away. I should’ve just kept my mouth shut.

She glanced back at Primo, a mix of concern and helplessness in her eyes as she saw the determination burning within him. The young master picked up his cutlery and began eating, fueling himself for what was clearly another confrontation.

Whispers about the previous night spread throughout the mansion.

Those who didn’t stay up late heard what happened. How Lucian had carried Ashley in his arms when they arrived, and how he had ordered their entire floor to be shut off.

Some maids giggled and blushed, imagining the scene.

Others, like the guards, could only talk about Gustav and the driver from last night—quietly thankful they weren’t the ones accompanying the couple.

Meanwhile, on the shut-off floor...

Slowly, her eyes opened. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

So... that’s how it should be, huh?

Twelve out of ten!

Gosh... she thought, staring at his face. Why does he look like he’s glowing?
