Chapter 387: Cut Them Into Pieces

Meanwhile, in the arcade section, Tommy’s mouth fell open in pure horror.

He slowly turned to the boy, who was smiling proudly at his victory.

"Son, why didn’t you tell me you’re actually a professional?" he gasped.

Primo giggled.

"You are... wow!" Tommy shook his head. "I’m honestly at a loss for words."

He looked back at the screen.

He knew he wasn’t as young as he used to be, but this was one of the games he had grown up playing. It had been one of his favorite pastimes, and he had always been confident in his skills.

That confidence, however, was completely shattered by Primo.

A part of him couldn’t help but feel challenged.

He was proud of the boy, but watching Primo beat him so effortlessly made his competitive spirit flare.

Primo grinned before grabbing a piece of paper and scribbling a short note.

[Grandpapa, you’re just like Mama.]

Tommy’s brows rose as he read it.

Primo then began signing. Unlike Liza, Tommy only understood basic sign language, but it was enough.

[She looks exactly like you whenever she plays games with me.]

Tommy chuckled and ruffled the boy’s hair.

"Goodness." He laughed even louder, secretly flattered. "This game really brings out people’s competitive side. Back in my day, I never lost!"

That was exactly what Ashley used to tell Primo as well.

The only difference was that she never managed to beat him either.

"How about another round?" Tommy suggested. "Your grandmama is taking her sweet time..."

He trailed off as something caught his attention from the corner of his eye.

Turning his head, he spotted a man in a dark suit approaching from a distance.

Tommy looked back at Primo.

"Son, why don’t you try another game first? Grandpapa will be right back. I’ll just call your grandmama."

Primo obediently nodded before selecting another game.

Tommy smiled fondly. He ruffled the boy’s hair once more before walking away. He only stopped a few meters from the arcade machine.

Close enough to reach Primo in just a few strides if necessary. Far enough that the boy wouldn’t overhear their conversation.

"Sir." The suited man approached, stopping two steps away.

Tommy glanced at him. His expression was nothing like the warm smile he wore around Liza, Ashley, or Primo.

His eyes were cold, emotionless.

"Didn’t I tell you to stay away unless it’s important?" Tommy said flatly.

His gaze shifted briefly toward Primo.

"It had better be important." His tone remained calm. "I don’t want to scare my boy."

Just as Liza had once told Ashley, they had never truly left the underground world behind. Tommy, least of all.

The peaceful life they lived now was simply an illusion that allowed them to live instead of merely survive.

To protect that illusion, Tommy was always surrounded by elite security.

Most of them blended into crowds so naturally that people rarely noticed their presence. The men in suits, however, belonged to another team. They handled a different kind of security.

The man nodded before leaning in slightly.

"Sir, one of our teams noticed you’ve been followed ever since you left the hotel," he reported quietly. "We didn’t want to alarm you until we identified who they were and what they wanted."

Tommy cast him a sidelong glance. "Who sent them?"
