“From the start Blaze has made notes on everything that seemed off for some reason and once a week one of them looks through the footage from the Academy. Most of the time the notes are about females that make snarky remarks about me, about me having a relationship with Axel, Boris and Yonatan.

Some females even think the four of us are in a relationship, but I don’t have to tell you that that is a bunch of bull. The notes from the surveillance footage usually are an all clear, but for the past month the same guy has been spotted in the footage. So far he has done nothing and he hasn’t tried to come near me at all.” She says and I agree with her if she had been in a relationship we would have known.

“What do you know about your family?” Theron asks and she tells us what she has read about them in the past two years, the look in her eyes is a murderous one as she speak about what her family has done. “If they come for me Yade and I will fight them with everything we have to escape them or die trying.” She growls.

Eleven roars can be heard as she mentions the words “die trying” and I know none of us will let that happen, especially her Mates will try to keep her safe. “Do you have an image from the guy that has been following you?” I ask and Tarja shows me that she has it.

“Good, send it to each of us. I want everyone to know what this guy looks like and warn everyone the minute you spot him. Let’s see if we can catch him before he can try anything.” I say.

Hearing her say that there are females that think she is in a relationship with Axel, Boris and Yonatan has Mylo rolling in my head, we both know she is not in a relationship and we also know she has never kissed someone. I look at the picture Tarja send all of us and for some reason he looks familiar.

Theron is staring at the picture as well and I think he has the same feeling I do, “Theron, you think this guy looks familiar?” I ask him and every head in the dinner snaps in my direction. “I don’t know why, but he looks familiar to me and if I let it run through my head long enough I will figure it out.” I say.

Theron confirms my suspicion that he looks familiar to him as well, but like me he can’t tell us why and we drop the subject for the moment. Yonatan walks in with plates filled with food he paces in front of us and several stomachs growl at the same time, “Okay, I got the message.” He says as he walks back to the kitchen.

Conri and I are seated at a table in the middle of the dinner and my jaw nearly drops as Umayza sits down across the table from us. “How are you feeling?” Conri asks and for a moment she just stares at him. “I don’t know. I have known for a while who and what my family is, but it never gets easier.

On top of that I have been going on assignments almost non–stop, don’t get me wrong I love my job, it just gets too much sometimes. Especially when I remember that my family uses their gift in the wrong way and that makes me and Yade agitated.

I decide to stay with the safe subjects, “How was your first shift?” I ask and I wait for her to answer. “It wasn’t as painful as I have been told during class and it only took a few minutes instead of an hour.” She answers and I actually look at Axel to get confirmation on this, he nods his head to confirm her explanation.

“What color is Yade?” Theron asks and I can’t wait for her to answer, even though I would much rather see Yade in person. “Her eye color is a deep turquoise and her fur is silver.” She says and Theron looks at me with his mouth wide open.

Axel and Boris look at Theron and ask him why he is looking so strange, but Conri answers the question before Theron can, “Because only twins and triplets are known to have a silver like color, even if they are Alphas. As you might know Alphas usually have black fur, unless they are part of multiple Pups.”

“So that means that the two of you have a silver fur as well?” Alexia asks and Conri confirms that our Lycans have a silver fur. Mylo starts howling in my head and that draws my attention towards Umayza. Tears are streaming down her face and without thinking twice I get up to place her on my lap.

I don’t understand why our little Mate is crying, that is until Mylo points out she never mentioned having any siblings and I want to smack myself on the head. “Babygirl, I am sorry. I don’t think any of us thought about it before answering the question.

I know you never mentioned a Brother or a Sister and I am sorry if it brought back sad memories.” I whisper in her ear as I hold her close to my chest. It takes her a while to calm down, but when she finally looks up at me I see her eyes filled with sadness.

“Dad told me that he and Mom had been trying to stay out of the hands of her family, but Mom was near her due date when they caught up with them again. Dad had taken some of Mom’s clothes to throw them of their trail, Dad had left Mom in a cave and within a few minutes of him leaving Mom had linked him that she had gone into labor.

About ten minutes later she had linked him again that I was born and that she would love him till her last breath, before she cut the link. Hours after she cut the link Dad felt their bond break, Dad was able to get back to the cave a day later and found me.

He never said that Mom was expecting twins or that I was the only one to survive. Do you think there is a possibility that my twin might be out there?” She asks as tears are streaming down her cheeks. I wipe the tears from her face as I think on how to answer her question.

“Umayza, you said hours had passed before the/bond broke. What if she left the cave to keep you safe? If your family found her with one Pup it would mean that you were safe. Or maybe she was able to find another shelter to give birth to your twin and she died before she could warn your Father.” Yonatan says.

I have to admit both scenarios make sense and I know that we will try to find answers for her once this assignment is done. “We will help you find the answers, Babygirl.” I say as I pull her against my chest again.

Conri

I am glad she is allowing Evander to hold her, to comfort her as she is crying her eyes out and I sitwn in the seat next to them. I let my hand glide up and down her back to help her calm down, she calms slowly and I hear her breathing even out.

Part of me wants to put her in our SUV, but I can’t risk chasing her away and I ask Alexia to help us get her in their SUV. Everyone in her team walks out of the door in the same way they walked in and I see Tarja and Yonatan get in first, just like when we left the Academy.

Blaze gets in before she tells me to put Umayza in the SUV, she buckles Umayza up as I take a step back and I step aside to give Axel the room to get in. “Do you know why we always get in the SUV this way?” Axel asks and I just shake my head as Пook at Umayza.

“This way she is protected from all sides, they have to go through us to get to her. She still doesn’t like it, but she knows this is our way of protecting her. Why don’t you get in and I’ll ride with Evander. He says and walks off before I can respond.

“Get in and look after our little Mate.” Evander says in my head and I sigh in relief as I sit down next to her Boris closes the door as Blaze leans Umayza against me, I put my arm around her and bury my nose in her hair. I can feel myself relax as Alexia follows Theron’s SUV.

“Conri.” I hear softly in my car and I groan as I don’t want to wake up. “Conri, you have to wake up. The soft voice says in my ear, but I am to comfortable to wake up and I growl as someone pushes against my shoulder. “Conri, wake up. There are people here that need to pee.” That makes me open one of my eyes, but I quickly close it again.
