Chapter 690
She froze for the briefest moment.
Then her fingers found the front of my shirt, holding onto the fabric as though she were afraid I might disappear if she let go.
Her soft gasp died in her throat as my mouth pressed into hers. The small hesitation in her body melted away, turned into a fire that pulled us both in.
She didn’t back away. Her hands slid up my chest and dug to my dark hair, gripping tight, tugging me down as if she hated the tiny space between us.
The kiss changed in a single second. The dark need that had been building inside me all night. The control I held onto every day just broke. I deepened the kiss, pressing my mouth to hers with a force that left no room for doubt.
Gianna let out a low sound against my lips and fell back onto the soft bed, dragging me down with her. Her fingers grabbed the fabric of my shirt, pulling hard until my full weight came down right on top of her.
She shifted beneath me, her legs opening to make room, and I settled right between her thighs. My hands came up to frame her face, holding her right where I wanted her.
I pressed my body hard against hers. My arms strained as I held myself over her, the deep heat of her skin burning right through the thin silver nightgown. My tongue pushed past her lips.
I kissed her until her lungs needed air, until her hands were shaking against my back, until all I could feel was the loud, fast thud of our hearts hitting each other.
Gianna lifted her hips up toward mine, her fingers digging hard into my shoulders, holding on tight.
Slowly, she pulled back just enough for our foreheads to rest together. She searched my face for several quiet seconds, then she took a small breath, “Raph, please…” she hesitated, as though even asking the question hurt, “Please let me go to Philadelphia for a few days.”
