The meteorites continued their relentless descent, claiming more lives in the chaos.
As Yao Ran and the others ran through the debris and dodged the falling meteorites, two men dressed in black suddenly caught up to them.
Seeing the white badges on their collars, Yao Ran recognized them as Wu Yehao's
subordinates.
One of the men ran beside her and said, "Eldest Young Lady, Captain Wu instructed us to stay with you. Please bear with us for now."
Yao Ran nodded. "Alright."
It took them longer than usual to reach the outer district of the villa area. Unlike the central district, which had fewer villas, the outer district was four times denser. The fallen meteorites had destroyed many of these villas, blocking roads at every turn.
Assessing the situation, Long Yu turned to Shi Xuan and asked, "A Xuan, how many people can you teleport at once?"
"Six for now," Shi Xuan replied grimly.
Long Yu frowned deeply at his answer as he thought, "There are sixty-two people on our team. I can carry Ran Ran and fly, but it would take Shi Xuan ten trips to teleport everyone out. What should I do?'
As the team's captain, Long Yu couldn't abandon his comrades. Seeing his troubled expression, Yao Ran tightened her grip on his hand.
After a moment of thought, she looked at Shi Xuan and asked, "Shi Xuan, can you operate a cargo aircraft?"
Startled by the question, Shi Xuan looked at her and replied, "I can pilot most military transports. Why do you ask about this?"
Hearing his response, Yao Ran said, "Come with me."
She led the way to a nearby recreation garden. Finding the area untouched by the fallen meteorites and devoid of people, she selected a spacious spot. Raising her hand, she took out a cargo aircraft from her space.
The cargo aircraft had been one of her birthday gifts from Grandpa Xu. While she hadn't expected to use it so soon, she felt immense gratitude for his foresight and care.
As the massive cargo aircraft appeared out of nowhere, everyone except Long Yu stood stunned.
Noticing Shi Xuan staring at the cargo aircraft in disbelief, Long Yu urged, "Hurry up!" "Oh, right!" Snapping out of his daze, Shi Xuan rushed to the cargo aircraft.
Seeing Yao Ran and Long Yu follow Shi Xuan, Li Zhen and the others quickly join them.
While waiting for Shi Xuan to open the passenger door, Ding Jianfeng couldn't help but say in amazement, "This is so fucking amazing! How did Sister-in-law even get her hands on this giant?"
Standing behind him, one of his friends added, "Forget about that. What I'm more curious about is Sister-in-law's space. How big is it, exactly?"
While he was talking, the sound of the machine came, and the huge door slowly opened. Seeing this, everyone rushed into the cargo aircraft and sat down.
Although his team didn't understand why they were heading to the public garden instead of escaping outright, they followed Yuan Rihui without hesitation. As more meteorites fell from the sky, the ground shook harder, making their journey even more perilous.
With only thirty seconds left, Shi Xuan began the emergency takeoff procedure.
When the countdown reached ten seconds, Yao Ran clenched her hands, her eyes fixed on the public garden entrance, and muttered, "Where are you guys?"
Just two seconds before the countdown ended, Yao Ran spotted Yuan Rihui running toward them at full speed.
"They are here!" She said excitedly.
In the distance, Yuan Rihui saw the massive cargo aircraft and shouted, "Brothers! Head for the aircraft! Hurry up!"
As a speed ability user, Yuan Rihui was faster than the others. When he reached the cargo aircraft, he didn't climb aboard immediately but stayed to help his team get in first. Noticing that the group was carrying supplies on their backs and in their hands, Li Zhen and a few others unbuckled their seat belts and rushed to assist.
Once the last person boarded, Yuan Rihui climbed in and shouted, "Close the door! Close the door!"
On the flight deck, Yao Ran heard his shout and immediately said, "Go, go, go!"
Shi Xuan closed the passenger door and announced through the speaker, "Hold on tight!"
Given the limited time and poor visibility, Shi Xuan had no choice but to follow emergency procedures.
