Nine C-Section, Nine Dead Sons, One Escape novel Chapter 18

That night, Easton demonstrated, with great enthusiasm, that his stamina was just as impressive
as his bank account.
I woke up the next morning feeling like every bone in my body was broken.
Staring at the man still fast asleep beside me, I couldn’t help but reach out and poke his enviable
abs.
Was this what money tasted like? It was amazing!
My phone buzzed suddenly.
I picked it up and saw it was a text from Seraphina.
[Anya, don’t get cocky! Easton’s just infatuated with you for now! He’ll dump you the second he’s tired of you!]
[I’m the campus belle, only I deserve him!]
[Bring all those bags and clothes you bought yesterday back to me! They’re Easton’s gifts for ME!]
I burst out laughing at her messages.
Was this woman out of her mind?
I screenshot the chat right away and sent it to Easton.
He woke up just then, glanced at the phone and frowned. “Why won’t this woman leave us alone?”
He took my phone and sent Seraphina a voice note directly, “Miss Blake, this is Easton. Stop harassing my girl from now on, or I’ll make sure you can’t set foot in this city ever again.”
With that, he blocked and deleted her on the spot.
So badass!
I wrapped my arms around his arm and planted a big kiss on his cheek. “You’re awesome, sweetie!”
Easton ruffled my hair fondly. “You think that’s awesome? I’ve got more in store.”
He picked up his own phone and tapped a few buttons.
Zelle transfer received: $10,000,000.]

I counted the zeros, my head spinning.
Ten million!
“W-what’s this for?”
“An engagement gift,” Easton said, his eyes soft and warm as he looked at me, like they could melt
into water. “Anya, marry me.”
“We haven’t known each other long, but I know you’re the one for me.”
“I’ll take care of your tuition, your living expenses, and that bloodsucking family of yours. I’ll fix it
all.”
“From now on, your only job is to be gorgeous. Making money? Taking care of us? That’s mine.”
Tears streamed down my face as I looked at him.
This time? This time it wasn’t an act. It was real.
I’d grown up starved for love and money, always thinking I’d be stuck in the mud for the rest of my
life.
I never thought I’d actually grab onto a lifeline.
And this lifeline, it turned out, was a golden one.
I nodded hard, my voice thick with emotion.
“Yes! I’ll marry you!”
The comments erupted in celebration.
[Congratulations!]
[So this is what a villainess glow-up looks like? I’m OBSESSED.]
[Guess all you need is a thick skin and you can land a perfect husband!]
[Where do I sign up for unwanted backup guys? Taking applications NOW.]
