No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 631

A little over ten minutes later, Hamlin and Selene were lying on the sofa, their clothes in disarray.

Hamlin, satisfied, was breathing heavily. "Don't worry," he panted, using her pet name. "As soon as you give me a son, I'll divorce my wife and marry you immediately."

Selene seized the opportunity. "Hamlin, my brother died young, leaving his poor children to suffer. Ann is my only niece. You have to get her out of there."

Ann was, in fact, the daughter Selene had given birth to out of wedlock while still in school.

It just so happened that her sister-in-law, Laurel, who worked at a textile factory, went into premature labor from exhaustion and overwork around the same time.

When Laurel got to the hospital, the doctors declared the baby a stillborn. Seizing the chance, Selene's parents arranged for her to have an early C-section and passed her own newborn daughter off as Laurel's.

Only her parents, her brother, and she knew the truth.

Her parents had since passed away, and her brother had died of cancer, so the secret was buried with them. She had told Hamlin he was her first man, that she'd never even dated before.

If he ever found out she had lied, he would never be as devoted to her as he was now.

"Hamlin, I'm going to be blunt," Selene said, her tone firm. "If you can't get my niece out this time, I'm going straight to the hospital to get rid of this baby, and we're through!"

Hamlin stroked her flat stomach, trying to soothe her. "Don't worry, Selene. I'll go see Mr. Ferguson again this afternoon. No matter the cost, I will get your niece out."

He stood up and started dressing. "You just focus on the baby and wait for my call. I can't come over for the next few days. I don't know what's gotten into that hag at home, but she's been watching me like a hawk."

Selene rose, striking a pose, and helped Hamlin with his clothes.

Just then, the front door was thrown open from the outside, and a group of people burst in.

Hamlin's face paled as he saw his wife and daughter, flanked by his wife's family.

In the next moment, three or four women pinned Selene to the floor, tearing at her clothes and slapping her face.

Ignoring the pain in her face, Selene curled into a ball, desperately protecting her stomach. "Hamlin, save me!"

She had endured so much for so long, always saying the right thing to the right people, sucking up and reading everyone's expressions just to get by.

Now that her affair with Hamlin was exposed, she had to protect this baby at all costs. It was her ticket to forcing a divorce. As long as she had this child, she had a chance to marry into the Quinn family. Once she became Mrs. Quinn, no one would dare question how she got there.

Hamlin tried to get up to help her, but he was too beaten to move.

"Having a mistress isn't illegal!" he snarled. "What you're doing is! I'll sue you! And I'm divorcing you!"

Seeing this, Mrs. Quinn's brothers grew even more furious. "Hamlin, you son of a bitch, we're going to kill you today!"
