No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1031

Noelle was puzzled about how Carl had received the news so quickly. She herself had only found out about it that morning.

Countless possibilities flashed through her mind before he finally replied, "Yeah. Do you know of anything that could possibly help treat her condition?"

"There are options, but we can only be sure which works after examining Mrs. Greene. I can't give you a definitive answer as of now," Carl replied.

"In that case, let's go to the hospital and give her an examination right away. We can't afford to delay her treatment any longer."

Noelle felt that it was worth trying as long as there was a way to treat Emma.

It would also serve to give Cedric more time to search for a kidney donor.

"But shouldn't Cedric himself be asking me about the matter?" Carl asked.

Noelle replied, "He's still at the hospital."

"Hadn't you and Cedric already broken up? Why are you still so concerned about him?"

She paused for a moment before answering his question. "That has nothing to do with what's going on right now."

"Alright then. This is the first time you're asking me for help, Noelle, and I won't turn you away. I'll be heading to the hospital now."

"I'll see you at the hospital."

After hanging up, Noelle took a taxi straight to the hospital.

On the way there, she messaged Cedric. "Carl agreed to come to the hospital to take a look at Mrs. Greene. I'm on my way there as well. Make sure that everything is ready to go."

There was no need for her to explain what necessary arrangements needed to be made. She then arrived at the hospital shortly after.

Noelle stepped out of the elevator to find Alfred and Cedric standing at the end of the hallway, seemingly discussing something.

When Cedric noticed her arrival, he looked up at her with a deep and dark gaze. He walked straight toward her, his voice slightly hoarse. "Everything's ready on my end."

Noelle nodded and replied, "I asked Carl, and he said that there's a possible treatment for Mrs. Greene, but we'll need to wait for the examination results to know for sure."

Frank turned to Noelle and said, "Noelle, we have something we want to talk to you about in private. Are you free to talk?"

Noelle nodded and followed them to the other end of the corridor. She could still see Cedric from there and saw that his gaze never strayed away from her.

She then turned to face the Liddells and asked, "What is it?"

Frank hesitated for a moment before replying. "Why did you suddenly ask Carl to treat Mrs. Greene? You never mentioned anything about it before this."

"Yeah, it all happened very suddenly. What's wrong? Is there a problem with it?"

Frank paused for a moment before replying. "It's not a problem exactly, but I'm sure you know how the Greene family had suppressed the Liddell Corporation back then.

"Donovan is still overwhelmed by the whole mess. Our family's relationship with the Liddells isn't the best, so how could Cedric just come to you and ask for help?"

Blake nodded and chimed in, "Exactly. Cedric lied to you about his identity back then, and now he's using you to get Carl to treat his mother. Isn't that letting him take advantage of us for nothing?"

Noelle could not help but find their words completely ridiculous.
