Noelle sat on the bed and pondered what Xenia's mom aimed for. Cedric walked over and sat down beside her. "There's no need to overthink it right now."
"How can I not overthink it? She's made a move, and if we don't do anything, are we supposed to just sit and take the hits?
"I think Xenia's mom probably wants to seize control of the project. She might even be connected to PZ Group," Noelle said, clenching her fist in frustration.
"I suspect the same, but we don't have many clues yet. She might be trying to mislead us on purpose."
He gently squeezed her hand and said, "Let's eat and take it a step at a time. Now that she's finally acted, it means she'll slip and reveal clues unless she plans to stay hidden forever."
"You're right. She is starting to slip up."
Noelle agreed. As long as Xenia's mom was actively trying to sabotage them, it would be a matter of time before they discovered who she really was.
If the other party stayed quiet forever and did nothing like she had been doing, that would be the real problem because there would be nothing they could do. With that, Noelle soon calmed down. She washed up and headed straight to the office with Cedric.
The radiation scandal had caused a massive stir. The media now openly attacked Maple Enterprise and accused it of selling toxic prosthetic limbs. Public sentiment grew increasingly intense and entirely negative.
As soon as their car pulled up to the company, reporters swarmed and bombarded them with aggressive questions once they got out.
"Ms. Liddell, as the chief technical engineer of the AI project, were you unaware of the use of toxic materials?"
"Ms. Liddell, did your company break the law and use toxic products just to rush the product to the market?"
