No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1116

Noelle went back to her campus dorm. When she returned to her dorm room, both Mia and Grace were there. The latter was the first to speak.

"Wow! Looks like someone made a lot of progress in their relationship after going home!"

Noelle's face warmed up in an instant. She smiled and replied, "The both of you were worried, right? Well, there's no need to worry anymore."

Mia smiled. "So, are you officially together as a couple now?"

Noelle nodded. Grace started clapping. "That's amazing! Congratulations! You guys are finally together!"

"I'll treat both of you to a meal once I'm free. But it's not gonna be the next few days. I've got some stuff to deal with," Noelle said, smiling.

Mia replied, "We've heard. The comments online are getting out of line.

"They're just jealous of how smart and capable you are. That's why they're accusing you of getting the position of chief engineer in Maple Enterprise through some sort of backdoor."

Grace also voiced her frustration on Noelle's behalf. "Yeah, you earned it yourself! If you really wanted to ride on Cedric's coattails, you would've made it big a long time ago."

Noelle replied, "Someone is orchestrating the entire thing in an attempt to slander me. They're also trying to snatch up the AI project's market share."

Mia asked, "Is it Xenia's mother?"

Noelle nodded. "That's right."

She then recounted what had happened at the graveyard. "Xenia's mother isn't going to back down easily. All we're doing now is just waiting to see how long she can stay hidden before eventually revealing herself."

Mia replied, "It's no wonder Laura joined up with PZ Group. There's definitely something wrong with that company."

Noelle turned to Mia and said, "That company is truly suspicious. Do you have any companies that are partnered up with PZ Group? If you do, it's probably best to terminate any and all ties with them as soon as possible."
