The door to the private room opened, and the dishes were soon served. Noelle was hungry, so the two picked up their spoon and began eating.

Noelle suddenly remembered something. "By the way, when should we talk about Mia's situation? We can't just let them get scammed out of their money."

Cedric hummed. "In a few days. Let's wait until after Maple Enterprise's new product launch."

Noelle nodded. "Alright, we can start investigating and figure out what to do later."

Just as they finished eating, Cedric's phone began ringing. He glanced at the caller ID and frowned.

Noelle noticed it immediately. "You should go take care of it. I can spend more time with you once my finals are over."

Cedric held her hand. "There's a business summit this weekend about the tech industry. Do you want to come with me?"

"Sure." Noelle knew they barely had time for dates, so this would be a good excuse to combine work and quality time.

Cedric dropped her off at school. As she was getting out of the car, he handed her a bag. "A gift."

Noelle glanced at the logo on the bag. It was definitely from a luxury brand. She smiled and accepted it. "Having a rich boyfriend sure has its perks."

Cedric smiled. "Once Maple Enterprise stabilizes, your net worth will rise, too. Of course, I have to win you over early. I can't risk some other guy stealing you away."

Noelle leaned down and kissed his cheek. She waved. "Bye!"

She then turned and walked toward the campus. Cedric touched the cheek she had just kissed. As reluctant as he was, he had to drive off.

Soon after, he received a message from Noelle. "You're so handsome and rich. Who in their right mind would be attracted to anyone else?"

Cedric's lips perked up, and his mood lifted. Noelle carried the bag back to her dorm.

Noelle stepped out of the styling room and spotted Cedric waiting on the couch. She was surprised. "Why are you here?"

Cedric stood and walked over to her. He smiled at how beautifully dressed she was. "I came to pick you up," he said.

"I thought we'd meet at the banquet. You didn't have to rush over. You could've taken a bit of rest." Noelle knew how busy Cedric had been lately. He barely had time to rest.

Cedric held her hand. "That was the original plan. But Eugene said no one was going with you, so I came."

"Mia and the others were supposed to come, but something went wrong with a competition Grace was in, so Mia went with her to sort it out. I was just a bit bored, nothing serious."

Noelle didn't mind. She looked up at him and continued, "But I'm glad you came."

It proved Cedric cared about her. Cedric looked at her. "We've got a few leads about the lawyer."
