Alfred looked confused. "But isn't it strange that Sean never once gave Ivy up? Not even a mention?"
Noelle nodded. "You're right. Sean's never brought her up at all. But I think it's because he knew exactly who she was and chose not to say anything, and he figured we'd never dig deep enough to find her."
Just thinking about it made Noelle restless. She couldn't wait to visit the prison and talk to Sean face-to-face.
Eugene looked up at her. "I'll handle everything here at the hospital. If you need any personnel, I can arrange it. I've already recalled all my guys back to the country."
Noelle noticed that Eugene's expression had turned cold and hard. He had a distant, ruthless look in his eyes, carrying a hint of killing intent. It was only now that she truly felt the fierce aura radiating from this man.
Before this, Eugene had always been the quiet, cool bodyguard around them. It wasn't until now that Noelle truly realized this man had once been a formidable mercenary leader.
Honestly, that worked in their favor. If they were dealing with dirty people, then they might as well use dirty methods to fight back.
That seemed fair enough, didn't it?
Noelle nodded and immediately contacted Jeremy, knowing that having a lawyer along would make things more convenient. After all, Alfred needed to stay at the hospital to keep an eye on Eugene, and Cedric had even more pressing matters to handle.
After reaching Jeremy, Noelle didn't waste a single moment and headed straight to the detention center for the prison visit.
When Jeremy got out of the car, he turned to her. "That theory you mentioned in the car sounds plausible. But there must be a reason for that woman to stay hidden all these years and for Sean to stay quiet about it."
"Exactly. I want to know if Ivy was involved in the car accident back then and what role she played in the whole thing," Noelle replied. She was determined to get to the bottom of everything.
The two of them walked into the detention center together and were able to see Sean without any trouble. Sean was now wearing his prison uniform. However, he looked completely relaxed, much unlike someone serving time, but more like he was on vacation.
