Carl said sarcastically, "Nothing's impossible. Think about it. If Noelle hadn't gone against your words and looked into it herself, would you guys have found out the truth?"

Donovan fell silent immediately. Then, Carl added, "Noelle's acting exactly how she did in my dreams. In the dreams, she wanted to please you guys badly. No matter how we treated her, she would do anything for us without complaints."

He proceeded to tell Donovan everything about how Noelle was hurt in his previous life. After hearing what he had said, Donovan's heart began to ache. "Stop it."

Carl couldn't stay calm anymore. "You did those things to her in the past as well. Are you too scared to face it now?"

Donovan looked at him in disbelief. "It's just a dream. Are you really taking it seriously? After all, dreams aren't real!"

"That was what I thought at first, too. I found it unbelievable. However, I realized Noelle had changed a lot, and she wasn't acting the way she was in the dream anymore.

"Maybe she had the same dream and didn't want to end up in the same way. That might be why she's starting to resist."

Upon hearing that, Donovan asked, "What did you do to her in your dreams?"

Carl hesitantly said, "In my dreams, Xenia accused Noelle of hurting her neck. So, I injured Noelle's neck to create a scar removal cream. Later, Xenia faked being sick, saying she needed a kidney transplant. So, I took away Noelle's."

Donovan slammed the desk and said, "Carl, I know you've always been aloof, but how could you do that?"

Carl looked up at him. "You guys were the ones who brought her to the operating table yourselves, so none of you are in the clear here."

Donovan's face fell immediately. "Wasn't Noelle in an accident once as well? When she saw you back then, she was so scared that she fell from the operating table."

"That's right," Carl said with a bitter smile. "That was why she had the same dream and suddenly changed so much."

Donovan ruffled his hair in frustration. "It's no wonder she hates us so much now. I'll admit that Xenia has tricked us all into treating Noelle badly, but we've never hurt her like that before! If your dream is real, then everything finally makes sense now."
