No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 748

Donovan was a wreck. He covered his face with both hands and could not even bring himself to look at Frank. Right now, he was in complete agony.

Noelle was right—every second from this point on felt like pure torment. The crushing weight of regret and guilt sat heavily on his chest. However, this was just the beginning of their punishment.

He could not help but think Noelle was ruthless.

...

After hanging up the phone, Noelle finished her breakfast and headed straight to school. She made her way to the main lecture building, where Grace had already saved her a seat.

As soon as she sat down, Grace leaned over and whispered, "So, how did it go last night?"

"It went alright. I'll fill you in later," Noelle replied calmly. She did not want to talk about it in class, not when someone could overhear and spread it around.

Grace understood and did not press her. She and Mia had not slept well either. They were worried about what had happened, but they were too scared to message Noelle and accidentally get her into trouble.

While the class was still going on, Noelle's phone buzzed. It was a message from Cedric: "I'll come get you after class."

"Where are we going?" she replied.

"Strike first."

As soon as Noelle saw those two words, she immediately knew what Cedric meant. After everything they did last night, there was no doubt Ruth's side would catch wind of it soon—so they had to make the first move.

What she did not expect was how fast Cedric had already put everything in place. She simply replied, "Got it."

Noelle wondered how Cedric was planning to play it. But no matter how much she thought about it, she could not guess his next move.

Noelle smiled faintly, her tone playful but sharp. "Depends on what part you're asking about. If you mean the wedding—yep, it happened. And that video of Xenia? 100% real."

Justin looked like he was about to collapse. His face went dark as he stormed off in a rage.

Samantha laughed loudly. "Noelle, the Liddells sure raised you well, huh? What a classy bunch. Your whole family's a joke now—everyone in our circle's laughing at you."

Noelle did not react. Truthfully, she did not care what people thought of the Liddells anymore. If she had, she never would have aired that video during the wedding. She was about to walk past when Samantha stepped in front of her.

"Wait! You're the talk of the town now, so give us the inside scoop. What happened next? Did Wyatt beat Xenia up or something? We can't get in touch with her at all!"

There was nothing but malice in Samantha's eyes. Just then, her phone rang. She picked it up, and her face turned pale. "What? My mom's missing?"
