No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 758

It really was laughable. In Ruth's eyes, Noelle's parents' lives meant absolutely nothing. Noelle's eyes were filled with hatred. She was determined to make the Merlock family pay!

Mia gave her a hug. "We have to bring them to justice."

"Yes. We will."

Noelle wiped away the tear stains at the corner of her eyes. She'd come this far, and there was no way she'd give up now.

"Let me tell you something that might cheer you up," Mia said.

"What is it?"

Mia smiled. "Donovan came to me today."

Noelle was a little surprised. "What did he want? Is he here to borrow money?"

"If he'd just wanted to borrow money, I might have had a sliver of respect for him. But he still wanted to get back together and claimed he couldn't forget me."

A mocking look appeared in Mia's eyes. "Is he crazy or what? Does he think a disabled person like me can't find another man?"

"Don't think like that. It's just Donovan, whose brain is messed up. He's arrogant and self-absorbed, so just ignore him."

Noelle had clearly underestimated how shameless the Liddells could be. She added, "It's probably because of the money Xenia transferred. Liddell Corporation is seriously short on cash now, and if the cash flow for their project cuts off, the company could go bankrupt."

Mia responded, "That's good news for you, isn't it?"

Noelle paused for a second at that before saying, "That is good news."

Xenia wasn't dumb. She had to know that if she confessed, the consequences would be disastrous.

Mia looked at her. "Are you going back?"

"Of course I am. How else would I find out what they're up to? This is the best time for some drama."

Plus, the Liddell residence was now under her name. She could come and go as she pleased without waiting for anyone's permission.

While she was resting in her dorm for a bit, she received a call from Tilly. "Ms. Liddell, we checked the car dealership. All mechanics are present except for Thomas. Not a single person is missing."

Did that mean Sean had yet to escape?
