No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 825

Settle it privately?

Noelle could not believe that Wyatt could say something so despicable and shameless.

When she heard what he said, she did not even hesitate before raising her hand to slap him across the face. "Say that again if you dare!"

She never imagined Wyatt to be so utterly shameless.

Wyatt snapped back at her. "It's just a temporary solution for now! Once we get Xenia back, we can always go back on our word, can't we? The final decision is up to us anyway."

He could only wonder why Noelle could not understand what he meant.

Noelle snorted and then turned to Frank. "He's just like Donovan when he tried to reconcile with the Merlocks. One of them was doing it for money, while the other was doing it for his child.

"But none of you ever think about our parents who were unjustly killed by the Merlocks. Our family suffered for so many years because of them. Don't any of you want revenge? Don't you want them to pay for what they've done?"

But everyone had prioritized their own selfish interests instead of taking revenge.

Even Frank was angered by Wyatt's words. "Noelle, I'm just as angry as you are. But don't worry, I'll never let that happen so long as I'm around."

Noelle sneered and replied, "You've made the same promise a thousand times, but something would always go wrong every single time."

She had already gotten used to Frank's promises being broken.

Wyatt complained, "Frank, are you really going to just stand by and watch as I lose my child? I know that revenge is important, but can't we come up with a foolproof plan to get Xenia back to us before that?"

Considering that so many years had passed since the car accident, he believed that putting aside a day or two for Xenia would not make much of a difference.

Frank shouted, "Shut your mouth! How dare you even say that?! I've told you a thousand times to keep an eye on Xenia and never let her out of your sight ever! Look at what you've done now!"

Noelle just found it rather funny.

She looked up at them and replied with an icy tone. "So you're on his side now? Very well. Wonderful, even. From now on, you'll not be hearing anything about revenge from me ever again."

She realized that she should never have expected much from the Liddell family.

She had thought that they at the very least be trustable regarding revenge.

Frank replied, "Don't be mad, Noelle. We can't fall apart now. We have to stick together now more than ever. How about you ask Mr. Greene for help? He might be able to check on whether Xenia is really in the Merlock family's hands or not."

Noelle stared at Frank in disbelief. "Weren't you the one who looked down on Cedric for being poor? And now you're shamelessly asking him for help?"

Frank's expression turned rather awkward. "I know Donovan and I had misunderstood him back then, but he fortunately didn't hold it against you. Anyway, the situation right now requires any help we can muster. We can't afford to care about shame now."
