No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 828

"Donovan, you can't blame it all on me! Besides, if the Merlock family really wanted to take her away, how am I even supposed to stop them?" Wyatt asked.

Donovan glared at Wyatt. "You're useless! With so many bodyguards stationed next to you and Xenia, how could the Merlocks even get a chance to make a move? I'm utterly disappointed in you. I know you've lost your leg, but have you lost your brain as well?"

Wyatt immediately snapped back at Donovan in response. "What gives you the right to blame me for this, Donovan?"

"Why not? I'm your eldest brother!"

"You're my eldest brother, yes, but I've just found out that it was you who asked Sean to become our parents' chauffeur back then. You tried to act like a saint and ended up dragging our entire family into this mess. What right do you have to criticize me now?"

Donovan felt as though he was being slapped in the face. He turned to Noelle and stared at her in disbelief and resentment.

Noelle remained as calm as ever. "What? Can't even bear to be called out for your own actions?"

Donovan gripped the armrest of his wheelchair tightly as he gritted his teeth. "I had no idea what kind of person Sean was at the time!"

Wyatt sounded like he was on the verge of breaking down as he replied, "You're just making excuses now, Donovan. You're responsible for all of this.

"My leg ended up crippled because of you, Donovan! You'll owe me for the rest of your life!"

He ended up becoming a cripple because of his own family. As such, they should be the ones to make things right.

Donovan was so angry that he could barely catch his breath. "Wyatt, haven't I treated you well enough for all these years?"

"Isn't that just what you were supposed to do?"

Frank immediately stepped in to stop Wyatt. "Mind your words, Wyatt. He's just criticizing you a little for your own good."

"What gives him the right to criticize me?! Anyone else but him can do it!"

With that, Wyatt turned around and wheeled himself away. He could not care less about the ongoing chaos at the hospital.

She realized that she should never have come to the hospital in the first place. She had only come to the hospital to warn Frank about not letting anything happen to Xenia.

But, of course, what she had feared the most had happened anyway. The entire Liddell family was nothing short of useless.

Donovan clumsily wheeled his wheelchair to chase after Noelle. His pale face was thoroughly filled with guilt.

"Noelle! I was wrong. I know that I've failed you as your own brother. I was selfish and arrogant, and I blamed everything on you. It's all my fault!"

Frank stood beside him and said, "Noelle, Donovan has already realized his mistakes."

Noelle was at a loss for words. Oftentimes, when someone was left speechless, they would feel like laughing in disbelief.

Noelle then picked up the janitor's bucket of water nearby and dumped it straight over both Frank and Donovan.
