No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 870

Since Mia and Eugene weren't the proactive type, they obviously needed someone to give them a little push to move things along.

Grace then pulled Mia to get a change of clothes.

Noelle turned to Grace and asked, "Are you going?"

"I'll pass. You two probably won't be back tonight, so I'll cover for both of you. Keep me updated if anything happens with Eugene," Grace replied.

Noelle nodded. "Let's hope your plan for Mia works."

"Relax. As long as Eugene has feelings for Mia, he'll take the bait. I really hope that Mia can find someone she loves. Otherwise, her family will just marry her off to someone whom she doesn't want to marry."

Noelle felt rather embarrassed upon hearing the words 'marry her off'.

After all, the one Mia would be married off to was none other than Noelle's own brother, Donovan.

As she thought about it, Noelle felt extremely embarrassed and had to find a way to deal with Donovan.

Eugene seemed like the best option for Mia, after all.

After Mia finished changing, she left the dorm together with Noelle.

Eugene was leaning against a tree as he waited for them.

His eyes darkened when he saw Mia, but his face remained expressionless, and he did not even walk closer to her.

Noelle glanced at him and asked Mia, "What's with him?"

"He said that he'd follow me from a distance, so that I can just pretend that he doesn't exist and do whatever I want," Mia explained.

Noelle was surprised that he did not even bother coming over to greet them.

She had thought that with Eugene becoming Mia's personal bodyguard, they would have more chances to get closer with each other. However, it seemed like she had overestimated things.

Noelle and Mia then took a cab to L Bistro.
