Wyatt growled at Noelle, "And why would Xenia run away if it weren't for you?"

Noelle stared at Wyatt. "Maybe you should reflect a little. Why would Xenia choose to run even while carrying your child, instead of seeing you as her support?"

Mia had had enough. "I don't understand what is wrong with you people! How could you defend Xenia?"

Wyatt huffed. "Donovan, didn't you hear her insulting me?"

"She's not wrong," Donovan said coldly. "Our family only ended up like this because of Xenia."

Donovan glanced at Noelle with a complicated expression. If only she had relented, then things would have been much easier.

These past months, Donovan was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He thought he could overcome the crisis once he found Ruth. But he had been tricked.

If Noelle reconciled with him, he might still be able to get help from the Greene family.

Donovan turned to Mia. "I already know about the fake contract. Do you really distrust me that much?"

He could turn the situation around if he had the money.
