Cedric didn't answer Noelle's question. "Mr. Rodrick is just here with me temporarily."
"No need to explain." Noelle looked at Cedric. "I'll find a new attorney. There's no need to trouble the Greene family's lawyer."
"Don't be unreasonable at a time like this." Cedric instinctively frowned.
Noelle sneered. "I'm not being unreasonable. The Liddell family won't have another chance if I get played in court."
Cedric paused. "Is that what you take me for?"
"Didn't you keep me in a lie?" Noelle didn't back down, staring him down until he finally averted his gaze.
It was only then that Noelle turned to Liam. "I'll arrange a new lawyer to take over from you. Thank you for your work, but I also hope you'll uphold professional ethics."
Liam sighed. "Ms. Liddell, we can sign a confidentiality agreement if it makes you feel more secure."
"Good." Noelle knew the confidentiality agreement didn't offer much real protection, but having one in place gave her at least a bit of leverage.
After speaking, she turned and left without sparing Cedric a glance. Cedric's eyes remained fixed on her back until her figure disappeared from view.
Liam sighed. "Mr. Greene, how do you plan to handle this?"
Noelle didn't appreciate any of this. But frankly, the Liddells would also grow suspicious of Liam if he represented them.
Cedric remained silent for a while before walking into the interrogation room.
Noelle stepped out of the police station. The memories of Cedric's expression irritated her, and she quickly pushed thoughts of him out of her mind.
She checked the time and decided to go buy a car. It would be more convenient for her.
Just then, Mia called. "Where are you?"
Noelle hummed. "I just left the police station. I'm heading to a dealership to buy a car."
Mia said, "I'll come find you."
Noelle didn't refuse. She also had something to confirm with Mia.
Last night, her family had mentioned what had happened to the Greenes, but she didn't fully trust them. She needed to verify it with Mia. After asking for Mia's recommendation, they decided on a dealership to visit.
