Suddenly lifted off her feet, Eleanor let out a gasp, her arms reflexively wrapping around his neck.

"I'll carry you over," Ian said in a low voice.

"You don't have to." Eleanor struggled slightly, trying to get down.

"Don't move." Ian looked down at her, his voice gentle but with an undeniable firmness.

"Ian, put me down," Eleanor insisted, her voice firm as well.

However, the man ignored her and continued walking, holding her in his arms.

Although it was already nine o'clock, there were still some guests on the observation deck, and Eleanor felt like she had become the center of attention.

She couldn't help but try to hide her face, feeling incredibly self-conscious.

Eleanor wasn't sure how long he carried her, but they finally reached his car. When he set her down, her legs felt strangely weak.

Ian retrieved a bottle of water from the trunk and thoughtfully twisted the cap off for her. "Have some water."

Eleanor was indeed thirsty. She took the bottle and drank a few sips, then looked for the cap to close it. However, the cap was still in the man's hand.

"Here," Ian said, holding out his hand for the bottle.

Eleanor handed him the half-finished water, assuming he would put the cap on and set it aside. To her surprise, he drank the rest of it himself.
