No More Mrs. Nice Wife (Eleanor) novel Chapter 1456

Eleanor knew he had just showered and wouldn't be ready right away. "I'll go down first," she said directly.

Watching the woman hurry away, a faint smile touched Ian's lips, a glint of amusement in his eyes.

When Eleanor reached the first-floor lobby, she saw Gavin holding his laptop. He waved at her. "Good morning, Ms. Sutton."

"Good morning," Eleanor replied with a smile before heading toward the beach.

Around ten o'clock, Ian finally appeared on the beach, having changed into a light gray tracksuit. A subtle, almost imperceptible smile played on his lips, indicating he was in a good mood.

"Daddy!" Evelyn flew over to him like a little bird.

Ian swept her up in his arms, lifted her high, and spun her around, her giggles carrying far on the breeze.

Sitting under a large beach umbrella, Eleanor couldn't help but smile as she listened to her daughter's laughter.

After a while, Evelyn ran off to collect seashells, and Ian sat down beside Eleanor.

The sun, the sand, the waves, the sound of a child's laughter.

Everything was perfect.

But vacations always end too quickly. Two days later, Ian arranged for their return trip.

On their last night, Serena coaxed Evelyn into sleeping with her. Evelyn was very cooperative and went to her room early.

Eleanor had work to do anyway. Callie had sent over their latest data research, and Eleanor was writing an analysis report for them.

Serena hoped that on this final night, her brother would take the initiative to talk with Eleanor, taking advantage of her good mood from the vacation to resolve more of the issues between them.

Ian, who had just finished a work call, received a message from his sister. He glanced at the time; it was already ten o'clock.

[Bro, I'll take care of Evelyn. Why don't you ask Ellie to take a walk on the beach and enjoy the moon?]

Serena sent another message.

Ian replied with a sense of helplessness, [Stop messing around.]

Evelyn was already sound asleep next to Serena, who sent a slightly crestfallen reply, [I'm just trying to create an opportunity for you two. You have to take it!]
