No More Mrs. Nice Wife (Eleanor) novel Chapter 1522

Watching the absolute adoration and tenderness overflowing in his best friend's eyes, Xavier Vaughn felt nothing but pure happiness for them. Some people were just destined to be the main characters in someone else's life, and Xavier was more than willing to simply be a supportive bystander in Eleanor's story.

Together, the three of them hauled the picnic cart loaded with dinner supplies toward the grassy clearing.

Gavin Young jogged over to meet them. "Mr. Vaughn, Mr. Goodwin, Miss Sutton, we've set up the tents right over there."

Evelyn proudly held Princess's leash, looking every bit the little master of the dog.

The autumn scenery at the wetland park was breathtaking. The sky was an endless, brilliant blue, and massive patches of golden reeds swayed gently in the distant breeze. A pristine lake sat in the center of it all, perfectly mirroring the clouds above. It was the ideal spot for an autumn getaway.

The stargazing tent Gavin had pitched was incredibly spacious, already outfitted with a small table and a scattering of playmats for the kids.

Eleanor unpacked the food, arranging an impressive spread of delicate, mouth-watering snacks.

The kids were far too excited to eat. They were busy chasing Princess in circles, their sweet, innocent chatter filling the air.

The adults settled down to take in the gorgeous view. Ian and Xavier caught up on business and life, while Eleanor sat quietly, listening. When Xavier asked about her research, she gave him a thorough update. She didn't miss the faint shadow of anxiety that lingered in his eyes.

Ian reached out and gave Xavier's shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "As soon as Eleanor's research yields a breakthrough, we'll make sure your mother is the first to receive the treatment for her amnesia."

Xavier nodded, letting out a slow, relieved breath.

A little while later, Ian and Xavier took the kids out to fly kites. Eleanor stayed behind to relax in the tent. A pot of tea simmered on a portable stove, filling the air with a soothing fragrance. It was a rare, lazy moment of peace.
