Aside from the professional doctors and medical students who were still discussing the brilliant surgery, everyone else began attacking Nella for being a homewrecker.

Sergio ran to find Alfred with his phone in hand.

He saw him standing in front of the panoramic window holding an Americano, lost in thought about something.

His entire demeanor was frighteningly gloomy, his whole body radiating an ice-cold aura.

Sergio hesitated at the doorway, afraid to enter.

“Something wrong?”

Alfred’s heavy voice sounded.

His cold gaze turned toward him.

“Mr. Keywood, Mr. Hart just called. Mrs. Keywood is being bullied online because of what happened with Patrick. Right now there’s a live hearing on the livestream.”

Sergio handed his phone to Alfred.

Alfred’s eyes narrowed.

His gaze fell on the livestream screen.

To help his boss see the livestream content clearly, Sergio thoughtfully turned off the comments overlay.

As a result, neither of them saw those comments attacking Nella as a homewrecker.

Alfred stared at Nella’s expression in the livestream.

She sat calmly at the conference table, not showing the slightest hint of nervousness or unease on her face.

She didn’t say much either.

She only spoke when she needed to answer.

Her delivery was calm, her reasoning was clear, and her logic was airtight-not a trace of panic or anxiety visible.

He remembered last night. He had originally gone to the hospital because of this matter.

But in the end, he had gotten so angry about Nella keeping a dog outside that he lost his composure and practically fled from the hospital.

He had even fled overnight all the way to Portford.

He didn’t even know how he could be so ridiculous that even though Nella was the one who had betrayed him, he was the one who fled with a guilty conscience.

When Nella brought up living separately last night, the look in her eyes was terrifyingly calm.

It was the calmness that came after careful deliberation.

It was a calmness he didn’t dare to face directly.

So he had fled like that.

“Heh! Why are you showing me this?”

Alfred tossed the phone back to Sergio.

“Nella is capable. She doesn’t need me meddling.”

Sergio was speechless.

“Didn’t I tell you before not to mention irrelevant people during work hours? Did you not listen to a word I said?”

Alfred asked sharply.

Sergio was at a loss for words.

“Sorry, Mr. Keywood. I’ll remember next time.”

Alfred kept a straight face and said nothing.

He gripped the coffee cup until his knuckles turned slightly white.

“Mr. Keywood, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head out now.”

Alfred didn’t respond, just stared silently out the window, his expression becoming increasingly

darker.

But the moment he stepped through the door, he heard movement behind him.

He saw Alfred suddenly stand up from his executive chair and stride out.

“Notify everyone. We’re heading back to Apex immediately.”

Sergio was completely confused.

Didn’t he just say he wasn’t going to care about his wife?

And now he’s rushing back?

Mr. Keywood, can your pride really take that much of a beating?

You just finished talking tough, and now you’re eating your words?

Alfred looked at Sergio’s utterly speechless expression, a trace of discomfort flashing across his face.

“What are you looking at? My hand hurts. I’m going back to Apex to change the bandage.”

Sergio was speechless.

Are the hospitals in Portford not worthy of changing the bandage on your precious hand?

Sergio might be ranting internally, but he still scurried off obediently to make preparations.
