No Renewal My Contract Husband (Nella and Alfred) novel Chapter 146

Chapter 146 Stepping on Glass

“Nella, this is all your fault! It’s all because of you, you bitch, going against me!”

Her eyes were red with rage.

She swept all the skincare products off her vanity, and glass shattered all over the floor.

“Zoey!”

Eileen heard the commotion and quickly pushed the door open.

Seeing the glass shattered all over the floor, her expression turned panicked as she hurried

over.

“Zoey, are you hurt? What happened? Be careful, don’t get cut by the broken glass.”

Eileen said while calling out into the hallway. “Edith, quickly get someone to sweep up the broken glass in Zoey’s room.”

“Zoey…”

Eileen was about to say something when Zoey grabbed her wrist.

“Mom, come help me with something.”

“Hmm? What do you need me to help you with?”

“Mom, turn on your phone’s video camera.”

Eileen did as she was told.

“Zoey, you… Ah! Zoey, what are you doing?”

Eileen watched as Zoey, barefoot, stepped directly onto the broken glass.

In an instant, the carpet was covered in blood.

Eileen threw her phone onto the bed and rushed to pull Zoey back.

“Zoey, what are you doing? Honey, come quick! Honey!”

“Mom, I feel so terrible. I feel so guilty. I want to die. Mom, don’t worry about me. Just let me die. I’m so sorry to Nella.”

Zoey’s voice trembled.

Her gaze flicked on the phone Eileen had thrown onto the bed, a smile curving at the corner of her mouth.

Eileen was frightened by Zoey’s words. “Zoey, don’t scare me. Is your depression acting up again? I’ll take you to see a doctor.”

After parting with Alfred, Nella went straight back to Emerald Vista Bay.

Actually, there wasn’t much left here. She only packed two small suitcases before leaving the

room.

Standing in the living room, she looked at this place where she had once poured her heart.

She didn’t feel particularly reluctant. More than anything, she felt wistful.

Her gaze fell on the large terrace, now completely bare.

The flowers and plants that Zoey had destroyed before had all been cleaned up.

She looked quietly for a while before withdrawing her gaze, pushing open the door, and walking out.

At Keywood Group.

“Mr. Keywood, here’s your coffee.”

“Just leave it.”

Since returning from the hospital, Alfred hadn’t been able to suppress his irritation.

Ever since Nella returned from Glacieroth, he felt she had changed.

Changed in a way that made her seem unfamiliar and beyond his control.

He even discovered that he had lost control of his usually stable emotions multiple times because of Nella.

Remembering the calm look in Nella’s eyes when she left the hospital, Alfred suddenly panicked.

It felt as if his heart had been stabbed, and it hurt tremendously.

The coffee in his hand spilled all over his white shirt, staining it with a large splotch.

“Tsk!”

He made an irritated sound and was about to reach for a tissue when a figure rushed toward him faster than he could move.

“Mr. Keywood, are you alright? Did you get burned? Let me see.”

As she spoke, she reached to unbutton Alfred’s shirt.

A strong perfume scent instantly invaded Alfred’s nostrils.

The irritation in his eyes deepened, and he pushed the person in front of him away without

mercy.

His sharp gaze fixed on the woman before him.
