Chapter 205 The Self-proclaimed Cuck
Why is Alfred this pissed?

Ryan laughed and tried to smooth things over, saying, “Do you not like puppies? Puppies are actually really cute. Have you seen Brutus? Claire said he’s amazing at providing emotional support. Ever since Claire got Brutus, that cold-hearted woman has been way nicer to me.”
Ryan was talking excitedly when he noticed Alfred’s face growing colder and colder, and he quietly shut up.
Looks like Alfred really hates puppies.
“I’m not talking about literal dogs!”
Alfred shouted, “Nella is keeping a lover outside. She cheated on me!”
The moment he said that, everyone fell silent.
The expressions on their faces all turned strangely awkward.
Mason, who had been hiding in the corner scrolling through Jasmine’s social media feed, also looked up.
Nella cheated?
When did that happen? Jasmine didn’t tell me anything about that.
As if he’d been wronged beyond measure, Alfred’s eyes turned red after he spoke.
“That man went missing, and Nella panicked. To find him, she even kicked me.”
Everyone fell silent.
Something about this sounded off.
And the way Alfred was talking made him sound like a grade-school kid tattling to adults.
Funny, but also pitiful.
“So… you’re saying Nella cheated because she’s keeping another puppy outside?”
Mason’s expression was complicated.
He stared at the missing puppy post on Jasmine’s feed.
“Reward offered for missing puppy. A friend’s puppy went missing. A one-month-old golden retriever named Marshal. He responds when you call his name. This puppy is very important to my friend. Reward; 10,000 dollars. Thank you for your attention.”
Mason looked at Alfred’s reddened eyes. He didn’t know if it was from the alcohol or from feeling wronged after being kicked by Nella.
Well, well, well. He even came to tattle.

Mason curled his lips inward, barely holding back a grin, and asked seriously. “Nella’s side piece… Is he named Marshal?”
“How did you know?”
Alfred lifted his head from his glass, his gaze hazy.
After asking, he laughed at himself. “That makes sense. She likes him so much. She must’ve introduced him to her friends.”
He stared straight at Mason. “Did Jasmine tell you?”
Mason sighed.
His feelings were complicated.
It was the first time he’d ever seen someone so desperate to call himself a cuck.
Seeing the complicated look on Mason’s face, Alfred became even more convinced of his guess.
The tightness in his chest grew worse.
Mason idly played with his phone, a trace of malicious amusement curling at his lips as he said, “My wife doesn’t even talk to me anymore. I saw it on her feed.”
Alfred lifted his heavy eyelids and looked at Mason, letting out a mocking laugh.
“So you’ve given up completely? Jasmine posts another man on her feed, and you don’t care?”
Mason shrugged. “What’s there to care about? That Marshal really is pretty likable.”
Alfred almost choked.
He felt like not only had his wife cheated on him, but his friend had stabbed him in the back too.
Depressed, he grabbed the bottle off the coffee table and drank straight from it.
“Alfred, slow down. That’s hard liquor. Don’t drink like that.”
Seeing this, Jesse hurried to stop him.
