That made things much easier for her.

“But I don’t know anything about your company,” Nella said, her face showing hesitation. “If I go to this gala, won’t I just make a mess of things?”

“Mrs. Keywood, please don’t worry,” Sergio said warmly. “Mr. Keywood will handle everything. You only need to show up. You don’t have to worry about anything else.”

Since Sergio had said it so clearly, Nella nodded and accepted the gown.

“Mrs. Keywood, I’ll take my leave now. The stylist will come shortly,” Sergio said.

“Alright. Drive safe, Sergio.”

“You’re too kind, Mrs. Keywood.”

Before leaving, Sergio even greeted Marshal, who was lying on the floor playing with a small ball.

“Mr. Marshal, your humble servant shall wobble off now.”

Nella had no words.

Not long after Sergio left, the stylist arrived.

The stylist helped Nella change into the dress.

“Mrs. Keywood, you have a wonderful figure,” the stylist said with a smile. “This gown looks simple, but only someone with real presence can wear it well. You bring out the best sides of the gown.”

The compliments kept coming, but Nella felt a little uncomfortable.

Still, Alfred’s choice matched her taste.

It was a long, silver gown. The cut was clean and sharp.

The design looked simple, but every detail showed careful work by the designer.

The entire dress was made from rare, handmade silk crepe. It gave off a cool, elegant feeling- luxurious, but not loud.

The fabric draped perfectly. It felt light when she wore it, with no heaviness at all.

Only then did Nella learn from the stylist that the gown she was wearing was one of a kind in the world.

It was handmade by a top international designer, Juno Clark.

Even the silk itself was extremely rare. It could only be bought through special private channels.

This one dress alone was worth ten million dollars.

Nella was completely stunned.

For a brief moment, she thought maybe she shouldn’t divorce Alfred at all. Maybe she shouldn’t divorce Alfred after all. Maybe she should just … wait it out and enjoy his wealth as a widow when he passes away.

If she accidentally tore even a tiny corner of this dress, she could never afford to pay for it.

Was Alfred trying to set her up?

While her mind was running wild, the stylist gently guided her to sit in front of the mirror.

Nella had very good skin. Naturally fair, with a cool tone.

Her pores were fine, with no flaws in sight.

Her features were delicate and clear, not as sharp as many foreigner faces, but soft in a way that felt uniquely Craystan.

“Mrs. Keywood, your skin is amazing,” the stylist said while applying makeup. “It’s so easy to work with. We don’t need any extra steps at all.”

As the makeup went on, the stylist kept letting out small gasps of admiration. It made Nella feel shy and uneasy.

But when the styling was finished, Nella looked at herself in the mirror and froze.

She looked like someone from the painting.

For the first time in her life, Nella felt narcissistic enough to think of herself that way.

She suddenly understood something Camelia once said to her.

“Nella, you’re so beautiful. If you dress up just a little, you’ll be stunned by your reflection.”

Alright. Now she understood.
