The wine glass slammed against the wall with a shrill crash, making Harris flinch instinctively.
The two remaining men at the big round table hung their heads, unwilling to get pulled into the ugly fight.
Harris slowly lifted his gaze and spoke softly to Vincent. "Nothing at all."
Irritated by his cold, distant attitude, Vincent snapped back, "If you don't want your birthday party anymore, feel free to get out."
Harris stood up without hesitation, slinging his coat over one arm.
"I guess it's time for me to leave," he told Vincent.
He then turned toward the other two men. "Let's head out."
Relieved to escape the tense room, the pair scrambled to their feet and fled out of the private dining lounge as fast as they could.
Harris marched out without a second thought and slammed the lounge door hard behind him with a heavy thud.
Sabrina's heart skipped a beat from the loud bang echoing inside the room.
Right afterward, Vincent snatched an unopened red wine bottle off the table and hurled it onto the floor. Glass shattered instantly, spilling red wine all across the floorboards.
Seeing how furious Vincent was, Sabrina laid her palm gently over the back of his hand. "Vincent, don't be mad. Give it a couple of days. Once they cool off, it'll be fine."
Vincent gradually calmed down and curled his fingers around her hand, his tone softening. "I'm not mad."
She blinked carefully. "We should head home then."
Vincent rose from his seat. "Alright, let's go."
Before stepping out of the lounge, he glanced back at the decorations lining the walls—large custom birthday backdrops Harris had clearly spent plenty of time preparing. In the corner sat a huge birthday cake, with a side table piled high with wrapped gift boxes.
Harris had left every single thing behind.
