No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 778

Scarlett stayed quiet, Damian's intense display drawing curious stares from passersby all around the arcade.

She nudged his torso lightly. "Let's head out."

Her cheeks burned hot with embarrassment.

Seeing her flushed face, Damian knew she was flustered. He didn't push her further and laced his fingers through hers to lead her out of the arcade.

No sooner had they stepped outside than Scarlett's phone started ringing; it was Nathan calling. She picked up right away.

"Lunch is almost ready. Why haven't you gotten home yet?" Nathan's voice was sharp with worry over the line.

Scarlett knew he was worried, so she quickly said, "I'm coming back right now."

Nathan hummed in relief and hung up the call.

Having overheard Nathan's voice, Damian looked at Scarlett with obvious reluctance glinting in his eyes. "I'll drive you home."

Scarlett nodded softly. "Thanks for the ride."

The drive back to Theron Manor normally took just 30 minutes, yet, dragging out every second to stay beside her, Damian stretched the trip into a full hour before finally pulling up at the estate gates.

Scarlett reached for the car door handle to climb out, only for Damian to suddenly catch her wrist. "Stay with me a little longer."

Scarlett's heart twinged with pity for him, but she shook her head gently. "This has to be it. I need to go inside."

She pushed the car door open and stepped out.

Before she could walk away, Damian rounded the vehicle in a heartbeat, grabbed her hand, and backed her against the stone wall beside the manor's front gate, trapping her in place.

Scarlett tilted her head up, eyes wide with panic. "Damian, this is my front yard. What are you doing?"

Damian hooked a finger under her chin, his voice dropping to a rough husky murmur. "I can't bear to let you go."

His words stirred chaos and fluster inside Scarlett's chest.

They stood inches apart; his warm breath washed over her skin, mingling with hers in an intimate haze.

She tried to avert her gaze, yet Damian leaned down boldly and pressed his lips firmly to hers, deepening the kiss without pause.

Powerless to resist, Scarlett went limp against his frame, supported easily by his strong arms as he continued kissing her.

Just then, the estate's iron front gate creaked open, followed by the sound of approaching footsteps.

Scarlett struggled frantically against his chest. "Mm, let go!"

Damian was still lost in the kiss, heavy ragged breathing clouding Scarlett's already frayed composure.
