Claire said no more and turned toward Scarlett. "I'm heading over now. Call me if you need anything."
Scarlett nodded. "Okay."
Damian shot a knowing look at Felix, satisfied that his plan to pair Zachary and Claire had worked out.
Scarlett caught their silent exchange but chose not to call them out on their little scheme.
Minutes later, Felix's phone started ringing. He glanced over at Damian. "Keep an eye on the kids for me. I have to step outside to take a client's call."
"Sure thing, go ahead," Damian replied.
Felix climbed out of the pool and turned his back to take the call in private.
Right then, Eric suddenly clutched his stomach with a pained face. "Mr. Langley, my tummy hurts."
Concerned, Damian leaned down. "What's wrong?"
Eric's cheeks flushed bright red, and he mumbled quietly, "I need to use the restroom."
Damian hauled the little boy out of his inflatable swim ring at once. "Let's hurry then."
"I need you to come with me," Eric begged. "I can't find the restrooms alone."
Damian glanced toward Scarlett, who smiled gently and nodded. "Go on, I'll be fine here."
With her approval, Damian climbed out of the pool and gestured toward the poolside for Felix to watch over Scarlett and Clara.
Still on his call, Felix answered with a quick OK hand signal.
Eric looked increasingly uncomfortable, his complexion turning pale from urgency. Damian lifted him into his arms and rushed toward the restrooms in a hurry.
Now that everyone else was gone, Scarlett abandoned her lazy rest and swam over to keep Clara company.
Once Felix finished his phone call and slipped back into the warm water, Scarlett spoke up, "Could you keep an eye on Clara for a moment?"
Confused, Felix asked, "What's the matter?"
Worried about Claire yet unwilling to voice her concern outright, Scarlett made up an excuse. "I need to run to the restroom too."
"No problem, go ahead. I'll watch over her," Felix agreed easily.
