No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 807

Damian ignored her and kept going. "Don't worry, honey. I'll head home soon. Go wash up early and be a good girl and wait for me, okay? I'll keep you in bed for three days straight. How's that sound?"

Irritated by his crude remarks, Scarlett huffed, "Damian, what on earth are you rambling about?"

Ignoring her frustration, Damian pressed a loud smooch against the phone speaker before softening into a coaxing murmur. "Be good, I'm on my way home shortly."

He hung up right after the line.

Lifting his head again, he deliberately waved his smartphone in front of Galen with a put-upon look. "See how clingy my wife gets? She's just like a needy kid who can't stand being apart from me for long."

Galen blinked in confused surprise. "Your wife? I wasn't aware you'd tied the knot already, Mr. Langley."

"Not officially wed yet, but it's only a matter of time," Damian explained casually.

He twisted toward Vincent next, a sly glint in his eyes. "Funny enough, Mr. Stewart here already knows the woman I plan to marry."

Galen let out a surprised chuckle. "What an incredible coincidence."

Damian's smile never reached his eyes, cold and mocking. "It's no coincidence at all. I fought to win her away from someone else."

Vincent's deep eyes sharpened into icy glares, his gaze burning toward Damian as if ready to lash out.

After a long, drawn-out pause, Damian burst into loud laughter, taunting openly. "Tell me, Mr. Stewart, didn't I win her back?"

Vincent clamped his jaw shut tight, refusing to utter a single word.

Growing bored with Vincent's silent anger, Damian pushed back his chair and stood. "Enjoy your meal, Mr. Lowell. Dinner's on my tab tonight. My wife's waiting for me at home, so I'll take my leave early."

Galen grinned and joked in reply. "I've long heard tales of your wild social life, never thought you'd turn out such a devoted man. That young lady must be truly blessed. You'll have to introduce us sometime soon."

"Absolutely, I'll bring her around to meet you when our schedules line up," Damian promised smoothly.

Galen stood to walk him to the private room's doorway and halted there as requested.

But Damian didn't leave the restaurant right away. Once Galen had settled back into his seat, he tossed one last jab toward Vincent. "Mr. Stewart, since you want this business partnership with Mr. Lowell so badly, I'll step aside and hand the whole opportunity over to you."

With that parting remark, Damian turned and walked out of Haven Hotel entirely.

Back inside the suite, Vincent stayed glued to his seat, pressing his tongue against the inside of his cheek while all his suppressed frustration darkened his expression.
