**Chapter 432 It Was Me**
Tyrone lowered his voice, his tone laced with a mix of vulnerability and frustration. “Aren’t we childhood sweethearts? Why is it that he can embrace you, but I am denied that privilege?”
Aella felt as if the world had paused for a moment. “What?” she managed to utter, her voice barely above a whisper, a flicker of confusion crossing her features.
Without waiting for her response, Tyrone stepped closer, his movements deliberate yet tender, as if he were cradling the most delicate of treasures. He enveloped her in his arms, holding her as if she were something precious he feared losing.
As he inhaled the comforting scent that was uniquely hers, a wave of nostalgia washed over him. He instinctively tightened his hold, as if the act of holding her could somehow bridge the chasm that had grown between them.
Aella felt the warmth of his embrace, a bittersweet reminder of their shared history. She could sense the weight of his sadness, the reluctance in his grip. Yet, she pushed gently against him. “Tyrone, I really need to board my flight.”
Despite her words, she could feel the desperation in his hold, the unspoken fear of losing her again.
“My phone is on 24 hours a day,” he murmured, his voice a low, soothing whisper. “If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me, day or night.”
His words wrapped around her like a warm blanket, revealing a depth of emotion he could scarcely contain.
As the announcement for boarding echoed through the terminal, Tyrone had no choice but to loosen his grip, the reality of their situation crashing down upon him.
Aella turned to Brad, her expression a mix of uncertainty and resolve. “I’ll call you both once I land. You should go home now.”
With a tug on her suitcase, she hurried away, her heart a tumult of emotions. She was accustomed to the cold, distant Tyrone of the past. Now, with Zera back in the picture and having met him, she couldn’t shake the nagging thought that by the time she returned from Tuspuyria, Tyrone might have moved on entirely, perhaps even married.
Brad glanced at Tyrone, who appeared lost in thought, and couldn’t help but scoff, “You pulled me out of bed at the crack of dawn for just one hug?”
Tyrone shot him a sidelong glance, his expression hardening. “You might want to cover that face of yours.”
Brad was left speechless, the retort dying on his lips.
Moments later, they slid into the car, the air thick with unspoken tension.
Brad flung his jacket into the backseat, then turned to Tyrone with a serious expression. “Be honest with me. What’s really happening between you and Aella?”
Tyrone rolled down the window, letting the fresh air rush in as he lit a cigarette, the flame flickering in the dim light. “Didn’t you see it all unfold?”
Brad pressed on, undeterred. “So Aella truly doesn’t want you anymore?”
Tyrone turned his gaze to the road ahead, his silence speaking volumes.
Brad couldn’t hold back his laughter, the sound echoing in the confined space of the car. “You brought this on yourself! If you had made a move sooner, your kid with Aella would be calling you ‘Dad’ by now!”
Tyrone remained silent, staring blankly out the window, the weight of regret settling heavily on his shoulders.
He knew he had let opportunities slip through his fingers, and now even the simplest act of hugging her felt like a luxury he couldn’t afford.
Brad pressed again, “But Zera is back. You could just marry her instead, right?”
Tyrone shot him a lethal glare, his voice low and menacing. “Never.”
