Once Cast-Off Wife Now Untouchable Queen novel Chapter 454

**Chapter 454 I’ll Take Her Home**

The tension in the air was palpable as the two men continued their heated debate over who should speak first. Their voices rose and fell, a cacophony of opinions that left the three girls standing nearby utterly confused.

Aella, feeling the weight of their argument pressing down on her, finally snapped. “How about I just say something first?” Her voice cut through the noise, firm and determined.

Tyrone and Daniel exchanged a quick glance, their expressions a mix of surprise and agreement, before both nodded in unison.

“Please move. You’re blocking the door,” Aella stated, her tone leaving no room for argument.

The two men shared another look, a silent communication passing between them, and then, almost choreographed, they stepped aside to let her pass.

With a sense of purpose, Aella linked her arms with Kayla and Raine, guiding them back toward the private room where the festivities were taking place. The atmosphere felt charged, and she could sense Tyrone’s gaze following her.

As Tyrone turned to follow, Daniel’s voice broke through the moment. “Weren’t you going to the restroom?” he asked, a hint of challenge in his tone.

Tyrone hesitated, his brow furrowing slightly. “I changed my mind. You can go, Mr. Hill,” he replied, his voice steady but laced with a hint of defiance.

Daniel flashed a grin, his confidence unwavering. “I don’t feel like going anymore either,” he declared, stepping closer to Tyrone.

The two men locked eyes, the tension between them thickening, as if the air itself had turned sharp and electric.

Brad, standing off to the side, sensed the brewing storm. He shifted nervously, aware that the situation could escalate at any moment.

When Aella finally returned to the room, she barely registered the conversations swirling around her. The two men continued to bicker, but she tuned them out, feeling a wave of dizziness wash over her. She decided to sit out the next round of games, opting instead to hunch over her plate, shoveling food into her mouth as if it were the only thing grounding her in that moment.

As the welcome dinner drew to a close, the atmosphere shifted. At the entrance of the Regal Club, the group exchanged farewells, laughter mingling with the cool night air.

Tyrone approached Aella, his voice soft and reassuring, “You drank some. Let me drive you home.”

Aella shook her head firmly, her resolve clear. “You’ve also been drinking. Call your driver,” she insisted, her concern for his safety evident.

He countered, “He’s already here. I’ll drop you off on the way.” There was a sense of finality in his tone, but before he could finish, Daniel stepped forward, his presence commanding.

“No need, Mr. Winter. I’ll take Dr. Reid home,” Daniel interjected, his eyes narrowing slightly as he met Tyrone’s gaze.

The two men stood there, a silent battle of wills unfolding between them, neither willing to back down.

Aella quickly shook her head again, her voice firm. “You drank as well. You shouldn’t be driving,” she insisted, her mind racing with concern.

“I’ll just get a taxi. It’s easy. Don’t worry,” she added, trying to diffuse the tension, though her heart raced in her chest.

Daniel, undeterred, replied, “I only drank one glass. I’m fine. A breathalyzer wouldn’t even pick it up. Plus, I forgot to talk to you about work. We can discuss it on the way.”

At the mention of work, Aella hesitated, her professional instincts kicking in. Daniel was always serious about business, and she knew he wouldn’t joke when it came to matters of their careers. With a reluctant nod, she agreed.
