Every time Aella looked at Zera, she thought of Tyrone and of all the awful things from her past life.
She had used Julian and Daphne to trick Zera into returning to the country. Even if Zera didn’t recognize her now, it didn’t mean she never would.
She didn’t want to see Zera again, much less interact with her.
Aella let out a small, bitter smile.
She said to Kayla, “Kayla, I don’t like complicated relationships. Maybe I’m better off alone.”
Daniel was wonderful.
But he just wasn’t right for her.
Late night at the Hills estate.
After all the guests left, the staff cleaned up the hall.
Inside Natasha’s first–floor room.
Daniel and Lilian handed her the report Vivienne had given them.
Thomas said, “Mom, even if she donated a kidney to you and she’s Caleb’s only daughter, she offended the Cunninghams, the Guineveres, and even the Winters. The Hills can’t turn several big families into enemies for her.”
Lilian added, “And that’s not all. She and Anna ruined their own reputations. She was jailed twice because of Mr. Winter. She had a child overseas with a married man. She’s even been married herself. Calling her unclean
isn’t wrong. How can you bring someone like that into the Hills?”
Natasha sat on the bed holding a photo of her youngest son, grief written on her face.
She said, “Caleb died before he could start a family. It’s hard enough finding out he left a daughter behind…
and she even donated a kidney to me.”
Natasha continued, “She was abused by the Caldwells. She only did wrong because she had no choice. The Hills owe her.”
She looked at Thomas. “You must take your brother’s only daughter in and take care of her.”
Thomas looked troubled. “Mom, aren’t you worried about the Hills‘ name?”
Lilian said, “We can give her a house, money, whatever she needs. But there’s no reason she has to live here.”
Natasha’s face darkened. “I’m not asking for your opinion. You will do exactly what I say.”

She added, “It’s better to make peace than keep enemies. Prepare gifts and visit the Cunninghams and the Guineveres. Especially the Winters. Clear up all misunderstandings.”
Thomas and Lilian still wanted to argue, but Natasha threatened them with her life. “If you dare kick Zera out of the Hills, I’ll die right in front of you.”
Outside the door, Zera listened to everything and smiled in satisfaction.
