Chapter 569 Sister–in–Law
Chapter 569 Sister–in–Law
Another Christmas.
She tucked Aella in, turned off the light.
Tyrone went back to the living room, carried all the food into the kitchen, and cleaned everything up.
After showering and changing into his pajamas, he took a pillow and blanket and slept on the couch.
He glanced at the time on his phone–two in the morning.
In his sleep, Tyrone dreamed again.
He dreamed that, like his father, he had cheated.
They fell into endless arguments.
But Aella didn’t endure it the way his mother had–she cried and begged him for a divorce.
He refused, and she fought him.
Lying on the couch, Tyrone’s brows were tightly knit.
His hands clenched the blanket as cold sweat broke out across his forehead, his lips murmuring nonstop.
“I won’t divorce.
“Don’t leave me.
“Aella, come back.
“Don’t go!”
Tyrone suddenly jolted awake and sat up.
One hand braced against the back of the couch, the other pressed over his rapidly rising chest.
He had dreamed of Aella crying again.
n the dream, she left him without hesitation.
No matter how he begged, she refused to turn back.
Once again, it felt unbearably real.
Thinking back on the dream, a dull ache spread through Tyrone’s chest.
He threw off the blanket and walked into the master bedroom.
Crouching beside the bed and looking at Aella asleep, the unease in his heart slowly eased.

Thank goodness–it was only a dream.
Unable to resist, Tyrone lifted the blanket and carefully lay down beside her.
Still asleep, Aella unconsciously shifted closer to him. Tyrone gently pulled her into his arms.
Closing his eyes and feeling her warmth against him, his heartbeat gradually returned to normat
He would never allow himself to be put in a position where he could lose Aella.
Early the next morning–Christmas.
Virginia and Raine came over with cookies to spend the holiday with Tyrone.
Raine unlocked the door with the code, and the mother and daughter walked in.
Virginia went straight to the kitchen, while Raine ran to the master bedroom to ask Tyrone for a gift.
She pushed open the half–closed bedroom door and froze. Seeing the two figures sleeping in each other’s arms, Raine’s mouth fell open, her jaw nearly dropping.
“Mom… go look… Tyrone, he, he-”
Raine couldn’t finish her sentence, dragging Virginia to the bedroom door.
When Virginia saw that the girl in Tyrone’s arms was Aella, she immediately covered Raine’s eyes and shut the door.
Raine was both shocked and thrilled. “Mom, can I call Aella my sister–in–law now?”
Virginia patted her chest excitedly. “Lower your voice. Wake your brother up first–we’ll question him.”
The mother and daughter quietly opened the door a crack.
The slight noise accidentally woke Tyrone.
Seeing his mother and sister at the bedroom door, Tyrone gestured for them to be quiet.
He carefully got out of bed, making sure to pull the blanket back over Aella.
He had only meant to hold her last night–he hadn’t expected to fall asleep beside her.
Tyrone walked to the bedroom doorway.
Facing his mother and sister’s exaggerated excitement, he said, “I’ll go wash up first. We’ll talk later.”
After washing up, Tyrone went into the walk–in closet and came out fully dressed.
Without saying a word, he changed the entry password.
Raine followed him, firing questions nonstop.
“Bro, are you living with Aella now?
“When did you get together?

“Do Warren and Miniam know?
“When are you going public?
“Can I start calling Aetta my sister in law?
“If I greet my sister–in–law for Christmas, asking for a gift het too much, right?”
Tyrone turned around and shot his sister a warning look
He told Raine, “Stop talking nonsense”
The siblings walked into the living room.
Virginia pointed to the couch, and Tyrone sat down.
Virginia asked seriously, “When did you two get together?”
Tyrone answered honestly, “You’re overthinking it. Nothing happened between Aella and me.”
Virginia cleared her throat, her tone turning stern. “A man and a woman sleeping in the same bed, holding each other–and you think ‘nothing happened‘ is enough?”
Tyrone glanced toward the master bedroom.
Then, he looked at his mother with a solemn expression. “Mom, I’ll take responsibility for Aella.”
Virginia asked, “And how will you take responsibility?”
Tyrone replied, “After she graduates, I’ll get engaged to her. If she’s willing, we can even register our marriage abroad.”
Virginia and Raine exchanged a look, unable to hide their excitement.
Raine counted on her fingers. “Bro, Aella’s only 19–aren’t you rushing this?”
Well then.
A best friend turning into a sister–in–law.
She’d finally have someone to play with.
Tyrone shot Raine another warning look.
Raine stuck out her tongue at him playfully.
Satisfied, Virginia stood up. “Since you already have a plan, I won’t ask more. Come help in the kitchen–we’ll bake the cookies. We’ll wake Aella later.”

Raine pointed upstairs. “I’ll go upstairs to see if Brad is around and come back down later.”
Tyrone followed Virginia into the kitchen.
Virginia asked Tyrone, “Do you want me to send a few servants over to help?”
Tyrone shook his head.
This was his private residence, and he didn’t like outsiders around.
Virginia stood by the oven, watching the cookies brown.
Leaning against the prep counter, Tyrone asked, “Mom, how is Uncle Victor’s investigation going?”
Virginia put down the ladle and turned to look at her son.

Her expression grew serious. “That Zera targeting you and scheming to seize the Winters‘ assets is despicable, but her biological mother isn’t Shirley–it’s actually her aunt, Anna Cunningham.”
Tyrone frowned instinctively.
He hadn’t expected Zera to have another hidden identity.
Virginia continued, “Zera’s biological mother, Anna, was George’s mistress. When she was young, she was bought for a night by the Hills‘ second son. Later, that second son died in a car accident. Anna got pregnant and had no one to turn to, so she gave birth and passed the child to her brother and sister–in–law to raise. This only came to light after Zera got into trouble–Anna revealed the truth to save her.”
Tyrone spotted a flaw. “The Hills in the West District are a top–tier family in Vleka. Why didn’t Anna take Zera directly to the Hills to acknowledge her lineage, instead of becoming George’s mistress?”
Virginia showed a look of disdain. “When the Hills‘ second son paid for Anna back then, she had no idea who he really was. After Zera got into trouble, Anna begged George to save her daughter. Only after repeated questioning did she tell the truth. That’s when George had people investigate and confirmed Zera’s biological father was the Hills‘ long–deceased second son.”
Seeing her son deep in thought, Virginia reminded him.
“Tyrone, Zera has already been sentenced and expelled from school. Her reputation is ruined, her record stained. Even if the Hills wanted to rehabilitate her image, it would be extremely difficult.”
Virginia went on, “Right now, Zera is the only bloodline left from the Hill family’s other branch. Mrs. Natasha dotes on her. You’ve already taught her a lesson. Let’s drop it. From here on out, it’s her own fate.”
A mother always knows her son best.
Virginia understood Tyrone’s methods all too well.
So, she patiently persuaded him for quite some time.
Only when Tyrone finally nodded did she stop.
