Warren added, “This one billion isn’t much–just a small token from Miriam and me. A few days ago, we approached both your father and your mother, but they both refused to accept it.”

Warren said, “Since they won’t take it, you should.”

Tyrone also refused.

Tyrone said to Warren, “Warren, keep this check for now. If I ever need it in the future, I’ll ask you then.”

Before Warren could respond, Tyrone said, “Aella is waiting for me–we’re heading to the Christmas market. I’ll take my leave.”

With that, Tyrone turned and left the study.

Coming out into the hallway, he ran into Miriam and greeted her politely.

Miriam entered the study and asked, “So, did Tyrone take it?”

Warren shook his head. “That kid absolutely refused.”

Miriam remained optimistic. “If Aella really does marry Tyrone someday, we’ll prepare an even more generous dowry for her.”

Warren was extremely satisfied with Tyrone. “Let’s hope so.”

In the living room.

Aella was wearing a new Corantian–style red Christmas outfit, her long hair styled into two cat–ear buns, looking festive, adorable, and playful from afar.

Tyrone couldn’t help reaching out to poke one of the “cat ears” on her head.

Aella shook her head. “I had the housekeeper help me style it–does it look good?”

Aella happily linked her arm through Tyrone’s as they went out.
