in the living room, Aella collapsed weakly onto the couch, crying so hard that she could barely breathe.
Miriam nervously held her daughter’s hands and tried to comfort her. “Aella, tell me what’s wrong. What happened?”
Aella had never hidden anything about her relationship with Tyrone from her parents.
She threw herself into Miriam’s arms and sobbed. “Mom, Tyrone is awful. He regrets getting engaged to me!”
Miriam could hardly believe it. “He was the one who proposed. How could he change his mind?”
Aella struggled to calm herself.
Through tears, she said, “It’s because of his ex, Zera!
‘After Zera caused trouble at the engagement party, she got hit by a car and ended up disabled. He must feel sorry for her. He egrets choosing me and wants to go back to her!”
Miriam gently patted her daughter’s back to comfort her.
After a soft sigh, she said, “Aella, you’re only 19. You still have a long future. If Tyrone already has someone else in his heart, then end the engagement.”
Hearing that, Aella cried even harder.
She had only said it in anger, yet Tyrone agreed right away.
That meant he had already thought about it. He just never said it.
If he could agree so quickly, then she must not have mattered that much to him.
Through tears, Aella said, “Mom, I’ll listen to you. I want to cancel the engagement with Tyrone!”
Miriam’s eyes turned red with heartache. “Don’t cry. You’re still young. Focus on your studies first. When you become good enough, you’ll meet someone even better.”
She continued gently, “I know you love Tyrone, but love can’t be one–sided. Marriage needs effort from both people. If his heart sn’t with you, forcing it will only make you miserable.”
Aella wiped her tears and nodded firmly. “Mom, I’ll work hard and focus on my major. One day, I’ll find someone better than Tyrone!”
Miriam nodded with relief. “I’ll talk to your dad about the engagement when he gets back. Go’take a shower. I’ll have the chef make you something nice.”
Miriam went downstairs. Aella locked herself in the bathroom and cried until she had no strength left.
After liking Tyrone for so many years, letting go wasn’t something she could do just by saying it once.
Her heart hurt terribly.
Still, she knew she had to end the engagement.

Chapter 625 Crying

Pointing at herself in the mirror, she warned, “Aella, stay strong. You can’t go back to him!”
Late at night, Bluehaven.
Brad went straight back to Tyrone’s place.
“What happened between you and Aella? She cried the whole ride home. Her eyes were swollen shut!”
Brad walked over and grabbed the glass from Tyrone’s hand.
This guy has completely lost it.
