Jenny pointed at the knife in Aella’s hand. “Zach, watch yourself. Get that knife away from her first.”

Zach let out a careless laugh and stepped toward Aella.

Aella’s eyes darted around the room. There was nowhere to run.

Her gaze landed on the staircase, and an idea sparked in her mind.

There had to be windows on the second floor–if she could make it up there, she might have a chance.

At the very least, she could lock herself in a room and buy some time.

When she saw Zach closing in, she instinctively bolted toward the other side of the living room.

But she was no match for him. Before she could even swing the knife, Zach had already locked her in his arms.

Aella panicked, thrashing in his grip. “Zach, I’m warning you–if you touch me, my parents will make you pay for this!”

The knife clattered to the floor as Zach knocked it from her hand, completely unfazed by her threat.

Zach called out to Jenny. “Stay down here and keep watch. Nobody gets in.”

Jenny’s lips curled into a satisfied smirk. “You got it, Zach.”

Zach bent down, threw Aella over his shoulder, and carried her

Meanwhile at the Winter Estate, Virginia was feeling tired and got up to head to her room for the night.

Tyrone stood as well, about to leave the estate.

“Hm? Aella sent me her location but didn’t say what for.”

Tyrone was halfway to the door when he heard his mother’s voice and whipped around.

He took Virginia’s phone and tapped on the location Aella had sent.

Virginia frowned. “Why would Aella be all the way out in the suburbs this late at night?”

A flash of alarm shot through Tyrone’s eyes.

He forwarded the location to his own phone immediately.

Tyrone strode out of the living room and barked an order to the head of the estate’s security team. “Get your men. You’re coming with me. Now.”

Late at night, in the main bedroom on the second floor of a standalone villa on the outskirts of Vleka.

Aella was pinned to the bed by Zach, who had slapped her so hard across the face that her vision blurred and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.

Aella fought back with everything she had. “You’re breaking the law, Zach! I will put you behind bars for the rest of your miserable life!”

Zach tore at her clothes, his eyes wild with greed and excitement.

“Aella, the way I see it, you came to my place of your own free will. You even went into the kitchen to make me a late–night snack. We’re dating. Even if you went to the cops, who’s going to believe you?”

Aella kicked and clawed, fighting with every ounce of strength she had.

“You and Jenny used Cassandra to lure me here. The police will find evidence of your conspiracy. If you stop now, you still have a chance!”

Zach laughed, vile and unhinged.

entire life.

After tonight, Aella would be his.

He wanted to see what Tyrone could do about it then.

With one violent motion, Zach ripped Aella’s top open.

“Zach, you bastard! I’ll kill you!”

Just as Aella was on the verge of losing all hope–Bang! The bedroom door was smashed open from the outside.

Before either of them on the bed could react, Tyrone had already stormed into the room and ripped Zach off of her, slamming him onto the floor.

Zach was immediately pinned down and restrained by the Winters‘ security team.

“Get him out of here.”

Tyrone ordered his men to drag Zach away.

He dropped to one knee beside the bed and took in the sight of Aella–her torn clothes, the angry red handprint across her face, the blood at the corner of her mouth, and the tears streaking down from her eyes…

Tyrone’s eyes burned crimson as he gently pulled her into his arms. “Aella!”

Feeling her body trembling against him, his arms tightened around her without thinking. “I’m sorry. This is all my fault.”

He shouldn’t have hesitated.

He shouldn’t have left her side.

He shouldn’t have let her be alone.

He lowered his head and pressed

gentle kiss to her forehead, tears of heartache slipping down his own face.

His voice was low and rough as he whispered, “It’s over now. I’m taking you to the hospital.”
