In one of the most well known buildings in Manhattan, a woman sat in her dressing room after shooting.
Priscilla looked at her beautiful face reflected in the mirror and cupped it. Due to Isolde’s family intervention, she and her mother were eventually freed.
She was still under protection. Lots of other entertainers in the Pagoda Guild industry envied the Dragon Officers who acted as her bodyguard, but that was all; she had fallen from what she once was.
Her name and brand, Rainbow, crashed the day Percival flooded an entire island and was later framed for killing and feeding a Manhattan High nurse to his humanoid summon.
Priscilla sighed as her eyes moistened. She did not want anyone to see her so vulnerable. Pagoda Guild functioned on fame and strength. Ever since her fall, she had kept descending down the towering building until, finally, she was at the 100th floor.
She, the famous Rainbow, was someone who had an apartment, a massive luxurious one at the 165th floor, only below the legendary 166th floor.
Her name echoed with the likes of XYZ, the legendary Shooting Star, and other few stars that were known worldwide, but now here she was, struggling to climb back up that ladder that she once ascended with ease.
Now, she was subjected to constant activities to keep the few fans she had, yelled at by her bosses. Where was her promised world tour?
It was gone. Yet she could never blame Percival. He hid his summon for a decade. Their father was there when it happened; he broke one of the fundamental oaths to keep Percival out of the clutches of the authorities.
He knew he would become someone else entirely and maybe give up his son, so he went to a summoner who cleared up that portion of his memory and left the house.
A painful decision. Priscilla could remember how her mother sobbed when she told her what really happened. Her father knew he might be the one to sell out his son or end him, so he left.
Unfortunately, that same fate befell him. The authorities, they were too big to be fought. This was why she picked up the career, to rise up and free the hearts of the people with her songs.
Now, she could only watch that dream sail away. She loved what she did; why did it have to turn out like this? How much would the authorities take from her?
Her father, her brother, her voice. It was suffocating. Thinking about all this, tears streamed down Priscilla’s eyes.
After spending a moment to wipe her tears, she came out of the room. The dragon officers looked at her, though she couldn’t see their faces because of the mask.
"Are you alright?" One of them asked, noticing her puffy red eyes.
"I... am. Let’s go, I’m tired."
"Rainbow, where are you going? We’re not done." Her manager walked into the corridor, but when he saw her face, his expression softened.
"I want to rest."
"Go ahead, I’ll speak to the crew," he replied.
Priscilla nodded at him and left the place. She went toward the elevator, and when it opened, her eyes widened as three handsome young men stood there.
The XYZ gang.
"Priscilla! It’s been a while, were you avoiding us?" Xerxes asked with a charming smile while caressing a dove.
Priscilla took a step back and turned toward the other elevator. She was about to walk toward it when Xerxes held her wrist.
"What’s going on?" He asked innocently.
"You know what you did! You used your abilities on me and framed my brother!" Priscilla glared at Xerxes with hate.
"Oh?" Yi Ming clicked his tongue. "That’s unfortunate. We wanted to keep our friendship with you." He leaned against the elevator with folded arms.
Priscilla felt disgusted. But why had her bodyguards not acted? She turned, and her eyes narrowed in horror as she discovered both dragon officers stood there frozen in time.
They were King Tier summoners! How was this possible?
