Noah Grant had already fallen asleep in Walker Grant’s arms.
As he got out of the car and walked toward the villa, he suddenly thought of something. He said to Dylan Finch, "Take my sister-in-law home."
"Yes," Dylan Finch replied.
Just as Sunny Reed was about to follow, she froze. "Walker, what... what do you mean?"
She took two anxious steps forward. "Noah will cry if he wakes up and can’t find me. I need to stay with him."
Walker Grant’s gaze on her was cold, and his tone held no warmth. "If he cries, I’ll send him back to you."
Sunny Reed’s hands immediately clenched into fists.
’She thought she’d be able to stay the night!’
"This way, please, ma’am."
Dylan Finch stood to the side and opened the car door.
But Sunny Reed stubbornly stood her ground. "I’m not leaving. I’m waiting for my son to wake up."
Dylan Finch shot Walker Grant a helpless look.
Walker Grant looked away and said coolly, "Suit yourself."
With that, he entered the villa’s courtyard.
The large gate swung shut behind him.
Sunny Reed was left outside.
The bodyguards departed one by one, and the area soon fell silent.
It was late at night. The air grew colder and more humid.
Sunny Reed’s body trembled from the cold, and her hands were clenched into fists. ’I can’t leave. If I do, Walker Grant will definitely fight me for custody of Noah.’
’I absolutely cannot let that happen.’
Sunny Reed lowered her gaze. ’Oh, my dear son, you have to do your part.’
...
The next day, Chloe Reed arrived at the office. Owen Sterling had a bandage on his forehead, and he asked as soon as he saw her, "How are you doing?"
She gave a small smile and shook her head. "I’m fine. What about you? Are you badly hurt?"
’Maybe they’re off enjoying some alone time together?’
’Oh, wait, no. They’re off living their happy life as a family of three.’
Chloe Reed’s lips twisted into a sneer. She picked up a nearby glass and took a sip of water.
Just then, her phone rang. She pulled it out and saw that it was Walker Grant’s number.
She immediately declined the call and blocked his number.
But it wasn’t long before a knock sounded on the door. "Chloe Reed, someone’s here for you."
Chloe Reed frowned. She stood up and walked out, only to find Walker Grant standing by her desk.
’He actually came here!’
’Wasn’t he off with his precious nephew?’
’What is he doing here, bothering me at work?’
Chloe Reed was thoroughly annoyed. She shot him a glare and immediately headed outside.
Walker Grant stood up and followed her.
