Chapter 270: Chapter 270: I Heard Your Wife Doesn’t Want You Anymore

Chloe Reed frowned slightly. She was exhausted and had no time to argue with him.

She went straight to the bathroom to wash up. Afterward, she lay down on the small bed, her mind a mess, still wondering who had tried to kidnap her.

「The next day.」

When she opened her eyes, she saw that Walker Grant had been sitting in the chair all night.

His shirt was a little more wrinkled, and his face showed a hint of fatigue.

The old woman had woken up by then and asked, "Walker, have you been sitting here all night?"

Walker Grant said, "No, I haven’t been here long."

The old woman was a little surprised.

Walker Grant gave a gentle smile. "Grandma, how are you feeling today?" 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

The old woman said, "A little better."

Walker Grant then looked at Chloe Reed and said, "I had breakfast delivered. After we eat, I’ll go to the office with you."

Chloe Reed ignored him, going over to talk to the old woman instead.

The old woman took in the scene between them but didn’t say anything more.

After breakfast, Autumn Linton arrived.

Chloe Reed frowned slightly. ’I really don’t want her here.’ But since her grandmother had agreed, she didn’t say anything more.

Outside the hospital, she asked, "When are you going to do what you promised me last night?"

Walker Grant pressed his temples and said, "They’ll pull their investment today."

Hearing this, she couldn’t help but glance at him.

’He’s certainly being quick about it this time.’

His car was already parked by the roadside. Walker Grant opened the door. "Get in."

"No, thank you," Chloe Reed said coolly. "I’ll take a taxi."

But Walker Grant grabbed her wrist. "Chloe, after what happened last night, I can’t let you go alone."
