Around noon, Miles Hawthorne called her, sounding utterly surprised. "Chloe Reed, where in the world did you find such an incredible legal team? The moment they took over from my people, they pointed out all our weaknesses. Our odds of winning, which were originally only thirty percent, have shot straight up to eighty percent!"
Hearing this, Chloe Reed’s mood brightened even more. "For real?"
"Why would I lie to you? Just tell me, where did you meet these people?" Miles Hawthorne was both anxious and curious.
’When did someone so formidable enter her circle?’
He also grew a little wary.
Chloe Reed chuckled. "They’re my grandmother’s people."
Miles Hawthorne acknowledged with a sound of understanding. "I see. With their help, your chances of winning the case have increased dramatically. Now we can really look forward to the hearing."
Chloe Reed asked, "Why haven’t we heard anything? When is the court date?"
Miles Hawthorne said, "It’s usually about two weeks after the mediation, so it should be soon."
"Okay."
Chloe Reed’s eyes were exceptionally resolute.
’She was getting this divorce, period!’
When she arrived at the hospital after work that evening, she saw that Autumn Linton was there again.
Chloe Reed was blunt. "You can go. You’re not needed here. The caregiver I hired will take good care of my grandmother."
Autumn Linton looked haggard, as if she hadn’t slept properly in days.
She looked at Chloe Reed and suddenly burst into tears.
