’Did I hear him right?’
The leader of the world’s second-largest mercenary organization, a man who’s committed every evil imaginable, a terrorist mastermind with a danger rating of ten stars, was actually calling *her* immoral?
’He has *some* principles, just not many, huh?’
Chloe Reed actually laughed out loud.
William Quinn’s eyes widened slightly. "What are you laughing at? Is what I said funny? You’re so rude!"
Chloe Reed quickly waved her hands. "No, I think you’re absolutely right. I’ll keep my distance from him."
But the moment the words left her mouth, an arm wrapped around her shoulders. The next second, Walker Grant planted a kiss right on her cheek.
Walker Grant’s phoenix eyes glanced coolly at William Quinn. "This is the date I brought with me. Isn’t it a bit out of line for you to be disciplining her?"
"You...!"
Seeing his action, William Quinn pointed at him and immediately declared, "You really are an unreliable man! I’m going to tell your wife you betrayed her! You’re cheating!"
A faint smile played on Walker Grant’s lips. "Go ahead."
Then, his gaze fell on Chloe Reed’s face. "Are you scared? My wife is about to find out about you."
Chloe Reed: "..."
’Who wants to play this stupid game with him!’
’Still, watching William Quinn get all worked up is pretty amusing.’
William Quinn’s defenses were shattered. Before, Walker Grant had been willing to make a deal with him for his wife’s sake.
But now, he was cheating on her without a shred of remorse.
William Quinn went straight to the side to keep drinking, deciding he would have less to do with this heartless scoundrel from now on.
As for finding the Nyx girl, he’d have to rely on himself.
