The bodyguard assigned to Susan Bowman sent Walker Grant a message. He’d discovered she had gotten very close to a middle-aged woman.
The woman lived in the nearby countryside, and her small yard was filled with all sorts of strange plants.
The bodyguard picked some of the leaves and had them tested, discovering they were all medicinal herbs.
Walker Grant’s eyes darkened. He ordered Dylan Finch, "Take some men and bring her here directly."
"Yes."
Dylan Finch nodded and turned to leave.
The middle-aged woman’s name was Rhonda Lowe. When she was brought in, she was trembling from head to toe, looking exceptionally frightened and timid.
Dylan Finch said, "Mr. Grant, we’ve already interrogated her. She’s the one who created the poison, but there’s currently no antidote for the one Sunny Reed has."
Walker Grant’s expression instantly darkened. "Why is there no antidote?"
Rhonda Lowe said, "That’s my latest creation. I haven’t developed the antidote for it yet."
The moment she finished speaking, the atmosphere in the room grew heavy. Rhonda Lowe trembled in fear and stammered, "I... I’ll create it as soon as I can, but you have to give me money!"
Walker Grant stared at her coldly. "How much money do you want?"
Rhonda Lowe’s eyes darted around. "Five hundred thousand! If you don’t agree, there’s no way I’m making the antidote for you. The worst that can happen is I go to jail. I’m all alone anyway, so I have nothing to fear!"
Walker Grant asked in a cold voice, "How long will it take you to create it?"
Rhonda Lowe smirked. "So you agree, right?"
Dylan Finch scoffed. "Spit it out! How long will it take to create it!"
Rhonda Lowe flinched in fear, her smirk vanishing. She said, "It’ll take ten days, maybe half a month."
Walker Grant said, "Watch her. Don’t let her escape."
